Re: The C3G Cave - Hangout
Just started reading The Walking Dead.
Very cool but it moves so much faster than the TV show it feels like a cliff notes version. I am impressed by how much the TV versions look like the characters in the comics. Great casting, wardrobe ect. Re: The C3G Cave - Hangout
I find Silver Surfer a very enjoyable read but somewhat lacking. Some of the story beats they aim for just don't quite land for me. It's a fun, light book though, and art from the Allreds easily makes it worth the read.

I'll have to give this one another shot. I tried the first TPB when it came out, but I wasn't very impressed. I love Peter David's work though, and it has some of my favorite B- and C-list Mutant characters. Re: The C3G Cave - Hangout
Silver Surfer is one of those character-over-story books I really love. Exploring Surfer and Dawn as people, a homebody traveling with the universe's greatest explorer. Slowly learning about his spotty past. It's just... comfortable, for lack of a better word.
It reminds me a lot of Slott's She-Hulk in that way. Just an excuse to play house with characters. My kind of book. JOHNNY139'S CLASSIC CUSTOM THREAD! | Visit now!

He has so much though it is a little daunting. I have not even heard of most of the titles. I can see where the TV show could be a letdown after reading the comics first. I am glad I went the opposite way. I still need to catch up on last season. Re: The C3G Cave - Hangout
A few years ago (when Brian Michael Bendis started writing the book) it became more Earth-centric, and one result of that is an Avenger being a member of the team on a rotating basis. Originally it was Iron Man, then Captain Marvel and Venom, who is currently government agent Flash Thompson.
