FIGHTING FOR CONTROL
Before taking a turn with Man-Bat if there is a figure adjacent to him, you must roll the 20-sided die. Subtract 2 from your roll for each wound marker on this card. If you roll a 2 or less, Man-Bat cannot move and must attack each adjacent figure once this turn with his normal attack.

CLAW CARRY
Man-Bat may choose one small or medium figure he passed over while flying. After moving, place the chosen figure on an adjacent space next to Man-Bat, and you may roll one unblockable attack die against the chosen figure. Man-Bat and any figure moved by Claw Carry never take leaving engagement attacks.

EVASIVE FLYING
When Man-Bat starts to fly, he will not take any leaving engagement attacks. When Man-Bat rolls defense dice against an attack from a non-adjacent figure without the Flying or Stealth Flying special power, 1 shield will block all damage, and you may immediately move Man-Bat one space for each shield rolled.

I like this set of powers since it echo's the Man-Bat Assassins but shows why he's different with Fighting for control and the ability to carry allies.

However 6 life with a 1 shield defense on four dice seems tough and the 7 move when the MBA have 5 may be too much. Probably 6 move to show he is faster than they are.

That will certainly limit the opportunity to Claw Carry with EF. Much better.
Looks close enough to playtest.

Good chance I will playtest this one as I really enjoy Creature features.
FFC should help to keep his cost down a little. Against someone like Jean Grey, it could really be used against you. Heck you might end up wounding Frank before getting a chance to fly/carry him into position.

Keep in mind he still gets to attack after claw carry...essentially he can fly over a figure and drop it next to him, roll an unblockable die, and then attack.

The attack of 5 was more to represent his Razor Sharp Claws, and not take up a special to represent them. But I'm fine with just going with 4 attack, I'm not as stuck on that as I am with his durability.

So all in all, we lowered his Move to 6, Attack to 4, and Defense to 4. We changed his Echolocation Evasion 11 to a lesser effective Evasive Flying. With these changes, I'd imagine this will lower his cost as well.

I propose a vote to move to Initial Playtesting at 180.

I think that's a good power level for him. I feel his Life is a bit abnormally high, but not enough for it to be a theme break, and it's in the service of better gameplay with Fighting For Control.

I would like to suggest a Personality change. I know that it currently matches Lizard, and they're cut from the same cloth, but particularly in Man-Bat's case, he never strikes me as particularly conflicted. He's either "Oh, wow, this was a big mistake, I'm turning into a giant bat!" or "YES FINALLY I AM TOTALLY A GIANT BAT." I don't really see him wavering between pro- or anti-bat leanings.

Some previously used personalities that I think would fit: Ferocious, Malevolent, Menacing, Predatory, Relentless, Savage, Terrifying, Tricky, Unstable, Vicious, Wild.

Can we limit Claw Carry to his normal movement though? I don't like the idea of abusing it with Martian Manhunter or similar figures.
