Re: The Book of Bumblebee (Breathe Bee)
If we're squinting on scale either way, we just have to decide how we're squinting - toward thematic consistency (compared to other Transformers) or toward practical concerns (ease of use for players). I don't really get the objections to going with Large 8 double-based, but I'm not a Transformers guy so that tracks. Might be worth polling out though.

Re: The Book of Bumblebee (Breathe Bee)
I’m with Tornado on this one. Single-spaced gives him a fairly unique role amongst the Transformers, and it seems like there’s enough options for “figures” that somebody can always find a single-spaced option without too much work. I had the original Bumblebee toy as a kid and if I remember correctly that one could’ve probably fit on a single space, maybe with a little overlap. I’m still personally for Huge though. Stilt-Man is an odd corner case vs. tons of figures that are 8 and are huge.

Re: The Book of Bumblebee (Breathe Bee)
There is another small Bumblebee at Walmart for like $8 right now that would work as well. Not as good looking.

Re: The Book of Bumblebee (Breathe Bee)
If the official figure we're using is single-spaced, he's single-spaced. Is that what this debate is about (I skimmed)?
C3G can be played with official Heroscape, but it's not recommended.

Re: The Book of Bumblebee (Breathe Bee)
Yeah.
Some people would prefer double spaced though. I think the best option here is to plan on Bee II being double spaced Huge camaro version. Still could use some input on points here. Bats and the calculator said 230-240. L_O thinks more like 180-190. Thinking about starting some Heavy Hitters at 200. |

Re: The Book of Bumblebee (Breathe Bee)
Not sure how much you'll get out of heavy hitters with all three of his powers being ally dependent. Other than the disengage aspect, heavy hitters will just be testing his base stats.

Re: The Book of Bumblebee (Breathe Bee)
Yeah, I'd do three Army Tests here and skip the Heavy Hitters - Bumblebee seems like a support piece.

I'll try and get you a points analysis a little later tonight.

Re: The Book of Bumblebee (Breathe Bee)
On the cost here, I've found that the points calculator seems to regularly come in 20-40 points higher than what figures end up getting passed at so I'd start somewhere around 200 and adjust from there.
This would be my first test: Optimus Prime 410 Punisher 180 Bee 210 ..........800 Depending on how that goes would determine where I ran the next test. |

Re: The Book of Bumblebee (Breathe Bee)
In all honesty, the figure we settled on here could be a little bigger, and I think there may be some figures out there that are slightly larger without being significantly larger, but even with a slightly bigger figure he really should still be a single based figure like Giant-Man and Ghost Rider on a Motorcycle. If anyone wants to buy some of the other figures available in stores now and get them on a hex map to see if they can work as single based figures, we can list them as acceptable alternates if the official one is becoming more difficult to find.
