I dug out some Punisher comics I had, as I remembered The Hood being in some of them. So here's some pix I scanned (sorry about the quality) to illustrate some of his behavior toward his own people.

I did these in a Spoiler because they are kind of violent, but then again what else would you expect from a Punisher comic.

He's not happy the way Punisher is screwing up his business. So he has a bunch of wolves in a pit and some of his men dangling upside down over the pit, which by the way he is airwalking over. Then he shoves some meat in the one guy's mouth and cuts the rope. Soon after he cuts the ropes holding the other guys and they are all wolf food.





Next issue he isn't happy with the money coming in. So he pops a cap in his man's hand to encourage better performance.

I said in the Public thread how I really don't count the Punisher comics, since he's so out of character. I think the writers made him super brutal (And gave him some sick resurrection powers) just so it was more violent for a Punisher comic. He's rarely ever acted like that. I prefer his original Max debut, and the Secret Invasion and Dark Reign stuff (I think most of it is in the New Avengers comics).


But that is an example of his air walk.

Yeah, but he CAN, can't he? I mean, Robin WOULDN'T ever team up with the Punisher, but in C3G, you have the option to do so. If you play Hood as a fair and caring leader, you won't prey on your own people, but I feel like the option should be there.

I think "air walk" is close enough to Flying to count. I mean, I assume he can walk UP, can't he? So there's no reason he couldn't walk over an enemy, or a wall, or what have you?

Yeah, but Robin doesn't have to like it. I just don't like it, don't know what else to tell ya.

That was my thought when I added it. He rarely does use the airwalk (I think only in his Max debut comic, and that Punisher comic actually) so it's not even necessary, but I think it's cool on a Crime Lord.

Alright, here's my point - even if the Hood WOULDN'T attack his own men, he can. That's a part of the game - anyone can attack their own guys.

And, if he did attack his own guys with the Cloak of Dormammu, would doing so motivate others? I think that's a yes.

Well, I mean, if we had to add something to make him benefit from it, I'd be against it. But I see no reason to add more to make the power do less.

I mean, whether Spider-Man webs up Green Goblin or Captain America, they'll still roll less defense.

Air Walk just seems like another way of saying Levitation ... should we pop a generic Levitation power on here?
That said, that seems less interesting to me than other powers I've seen on him. I'd almost rather go all in (flying) or not at all (no flying/air walk/levitation) and do more interesting things with his power set.

No, he literally walks on air. It's not levitating, he has to take a step.

But yet again, my thoughts exactly. It's not important for the character (Rarely uses it), and if we would, might as well just throw the symbol on there.

I guess I'm the only one who kind of sees a lot of excitement in what's in the OP and like it with just a few tweaks for power level.

I'm a fan. I mean, I could go either way on the Cloak of Dormammu power (I'm not sure how it would feel gameplay-wise), but otherwise I think it's pretty solid.

Well from what I've seen, is walking on air is more of a gimmick that he uses once in a while just because it's cool and maybe intimidating to his subordinates. So considering he rarely uses it (you said it yourself) and it's not even flying anyway, why would we just stick the symbol on his card and say "Bam! This guy can fly because we think it's cool, not because he really can." Heck, I bet Wolverine would be pretty cool if he could fly too, I've seen him jump pretty good, so that's close enough.

You must have missed my post earlier where I agreed with you Bats with the tweaks you suggested, though not digging the flying. And also agree that Airwalk isn't iconic enough to take away from other powers already there.

I like the design in the OP with a couple of tweaks too. I don't see a reason to do more of a rewrite.
