SPELL OF TAROT: WHEEL OF FORTUNE
Unique Spell

You may not draft any other Tarot Spells unless you draft a figure with the Tarot Deck special power. Before placing Order Markers for the round, you may cast this spell. For the rest of the round, after a player rolls the 20-sided die for any other special power, they may roll an additional 20-sided die, adding the result of the second die to the result of the first. If the combined result of both dice, without modification, is greater than 20, subtract 20 from the roll and you may inflict a wound on any figure on the battlefield.

Why not just say you can flip the 20-sided die to the opposite face for all rolls?

That would be far more useful. Otherwise you are betting at the start of a round that either you are going to roll a 1 or your opponent is going to roll a 20 during a specific and single round of the game.

Odds are that this spell will do nothing in almost every game and I don't think I would even spend the 5 points for it, even with a d20 heavy team.

I like this. Would it be a may or a must, though? May is obviously much more valuable. Must feels like it'll run into the situation The Tower had for a while there where it had the same benefit to either team.

Honest question - Do all D20s have the same layout for numbers? Just checked, all mine generally follow the "result of 2 opposite sides = 21" rule, which I feel is pretty standard. We could also do something like changing the result to 21 - the number rolled to account for weird D20s.

How often should an effect like that activate? Being able to switch every D20 roll for a whole round seems pretty powerful, since that would almost mean you have complete control of who wins/loses D20 rolls for a whole round.

Yeah all PROPER dice add up to the same number on opposite sides.

If you have something like an MTG spindown d20, then it's not. But those are specialized.

If you're not playing with a proper d20 (which is fine), just gotta do some quick math. Easy enough that I'm fine using it here.

Could just say after rolling a d20 subtract your result from 21 and that is your new result or something to that effect.
