Since we are using Partial Scoring, can we also use Partial Points for Army building?

For example, I am using Blade Gruts (4 figures, 40 points). If I am at 480-points for my Army - can I just add +2 Blade Gruts for 20 points to meet the 500 point max? or would I need to have a full Army Card worth of points?
Nope. Full squads only. Going old school and back to the beginnings for this one. We will have a few newer players. Keep it simple and be creative with odd figures.

Sounds good. I am dragging along a few options ~ once I can find & dust off my figures

Thanks for hosting!

Hmmm. I've never thought of the idea of partial squad army building before. I could see how this could be interesting and makes sense. A lot of armies that I might want to build, like with Gruts or Knights, have too many units and could be resolved by using that. I might do such an event sometime myself.

It can help when you have say 20 points or less .. from everyone having Isamu or Marcu. 17 pts for a next Knight or Dwarf can be more thematic.

OK. You have convinced me. Let's do partial squad building today. With classic, there only 3 figures that are 20 points or less. This might prevent seeing those 3 figures in over half the armies.

Re: Everett, WA - Classic Xmas Cheese Tournament 12/17/22

Thank you for organizing and hosting this event! Was amazing to get in some games, roll some skulls {mostly on defense}, and hang out with the great people.

I tried out some Zombies in the event, and they were 2-2. They couldn't stand up to The Capuan Gladiators who held the Defense Glyph all game and then MicroCorp on a very favorable swamp water map + Rae-Rae.

But again THANK YOU for the games.

No, THANK YOU!

Santa came to visit! Thank you for the prize support - including the Volcarren Wasteland set and all of the still packaged sets. Somebody didn't realize what they were getting until they did an Ebay search. Loving my Maximus Funco bobble-head. You are amazing!

Re: Everett, WA - Classic Xmas Cheese Tournament 12/17/22

On to the tournament - a few newbies, a few that have played a few tournaments, and a few that have been around since the early days.

Here is the final standings. Fun was had by all.

1. Joseph, who has grown to be taller than all of us
Army - Spartacus, Crixus, Capuan Gladiators x3
4-0, +1010 points (no doubt)

2. @Nomad , who was happy to host
Army - MDG, Zelrig, 10th x 2 3/4
3-1, +65 points (yep, Joseph rolled big)

3. @Huskies16
Army - Cyprien, Finn, Stingers x2, KoW x2, Isamu
2-2, +411 points (fiance and little sis trounced him enthusiastically)

4. @Cinnamaldehyde
Army - Venoc Warlord, Raelin, Elite Onyx Vipers, Micro Corp x2
2-2, +288 points (A couple of convincing wins and a couple of narrow defeats)

5. Krista/Kayla
Army - Braxas, Greenscales x4, Marro Warriors
2-2, +95 points (Hot start for the tag-team of newbies)

6. @obfuscatedhippo
Army - Zombies x4 1/3, Raelin, Major Q10, Isamu
2-2, -211 points (Shaking the rust off. Tough to play Zombies in a time limit tournament)

7. @Dr.Goomonkey
Army - Wo-Sa-Ga, Nagrubs x2, Ice Troll, Moltenclaw, Marro Warriors
1-3, -199 points (Still on vacation)

8. Francis
Army - Sujoah, Spiders x4, Wyvern, Marro Warriors
0-4, -1162 points (second tournament, but promises he had fun)

Some pics coming soon.

Hey @Nomad (I'm Sir Heroscape's cousin), I'm in the area and would to love to come play. Feel free to tag me in the next tournament's details and I'll see if I can make it!
