Without addressing this general name or the Rev specifically, I will say in general that this could not be further from the truth, as a presentation of how Heroscape homages have worked in the past. There’s a tweak on the name and generally not much connection between the personality and the creation.

True. But if, say, a bearded Clockwork Combine critter had glasses, that Mr. Dyer could be a more obvious matchup than Dyer's Hellforge. (I never met--let alone played the game with--the man in person, dunno what armies he favored. Perhaps he would like being a Hellforge)

I can only remember playing him once at GenCon (we always talked, but seems like we either didn't play the same events or just didn't get paired up). He played 10th Mass and Sentinels of Jandar in that game (odd that I remember that since I usually don't remember very many opposing armies - especially after so many years).
