Re: Public Design Post
I think the problem with this would be that it would be the only DO that also had a terrain effect. We're not going to turn molten lava or water tiles into DOs, for instance.
I'm really fine with keeping it with the current jungle rules or with going completely different. I just don't like trying to do both at the same time. It feels muddled. C3G can be played with official Heroscape, but it's not recommended.

Re: Public Design Post
It wouldn't be that the rules would never be in play - they just wouldn't be in play when you were using Jungle Trees as DOs.

Or to be in favor of the jungle terrain rules being the special power on the Jungle Tree DO and leave it at that. C3G can be played with official Heroscape, but it's not recommended.

Re: Public Design Post
How about a new power for the tree but keep the original power for the jungle bush? Then have a card for each.

Re: Public Design Post
I would definitely support that route.

Re: Public Design Post
People People!
You're missing the point. As I've said BEFORE, I'm fine with keeping the power set exactly the same, just relisting it's power on the card and that's it, however; I own TJ, and during some of my games I felt like destroying that dang tree or bush so my enemy would stop using it to bottle up his troops, especially if they have height on me. I was trying a balancing act of making the Jungle worthy to be destroyed (wounding those underneath) while not making it able to just keel over with one hit (aka 3 life), but apparently that wasn't the best route. Now, a standard map could have between 6-12 Jungle Pieces, some which will be in a favorable place for enemy range to bottle up. Given the chance, I'd like to take that Jungle Tree out and potentially wound the enemy while I'm at it. So, let's keep the powers it has the same, give it the potential to wound those around it (roll a die; skull = wound) make them have 1 Life, and moderate defense. And, let's have the Tree and Bush under one card, just like how it's in the rule book. Much easier to work with! |

Sorry MS my love for Battletech longs for a tree that can be used as a club. That and Fire.
Your proposal sounds logical to me. A cloud can change its semblance, yet retain its will With the intimacy of destruction, One knows what it is to be alive The empty sky holds no reflection, for sorrow - Eslo Rudkey |
