Re: Public Design Workshop
Darkseid was part of World's Finest and the other two are designs 220 and 221 respectively. We most recently wrapped design 1148.
I say this not as an explanation for why others don't like auto destroy powers (that's not my pulpit, just one I'm aware of), but more to demonstrate why the examples you mention might not align with more recent aesthetic since they were designed a decade or more ago. C3G can be played with official Heroscape, but it's not recommended.

Re: Public Design Workshop
I'll say that I'm in not totally against auto-destroys like some others seem to be, but the main argument against them is that they lead to gameplay experiences that are incredibly swingy and hard to balance. Psylocke, Darkseid, and Gorgon are all (relatively) older figures, and I think many people now have a different design philosophy than when they were made.
That's not to say that auto-destroys can never be done, or are inherently terrible, but I think that's mostly where the hesitation is coming from. A lot of our more recent stuff has allowed you to auto-destroy/do something similar, but only under certain conditions. I think Liu Kang is a fun example, where he allows you to do it, but only if the figure is damaged enough. (Fatality!) That could maybe work here, with Apoc only being able to absorb an figure that is "weakened" enough. Seems like it would fit pretty well with his whole Darwinism aesthetic. |

Re: Public Design Workshop
Some one throw down a solid Psylocke II design without an auto destroy and I'll nominate it next round.
Would I want it to be everything I love...sure...but that's just not realistic so I'm going to focus on finding things that will make me unhappy and work on fixing those. |

Hooded Justice is getting my nomination if I remember.

Re: Public Design Workshop
It very well could be.
Could be an common/ uncommon event? You can draft said event multiple times if you have multiple archers. Now we just need glyphs Would I want it to be everything I love...sure...but that's just not realistic so I'm going to focus on finding things that will make me unhappy and work on fixing those. |

Re: Public Design Workshop
I think if it's an Event Card you just list the "trick arrow" powers and you have markers for them on that card. No need to involve glyphs.
