Re: C3G Promotions Dept. - June is going to be amazing!
I don't modify mine. If you leave them alone you can still play Heroclix with them. Its an inferior game but its only a $15 dollar investment for a Starter set and then you can use all your figures for two games. I realized once I had a couple hundred Heroclix figures for proxy that I could build some pretty good 'clix forces too. Also some of them have enough value to be worth keeping in good condition.
The drawback to leaving them alone is the flight stands that a lot of the flying figures have. Sometime there are versions of the figure with and without flight stands and you can get the ones without. Otherwise I try my best to ignore them and hope I don't run into LOS issues. For ladders you can use an empty Heroscape base to lock into the rung and then set the figure on top of it. As long as you don't shake the table it works well. I think I saw a thread about wooden discs that work too. I have rebased Ghost Rider. He's a cheap figure and needed to be single spaced. I also added HS bases to the HoH Iron Man Sculpts. Te Heroclix bases don't look as good but I feel its more practical. |

Re: C3G Promotions Dept. - June is going to be amazing!
For the most part I just use the clix bases, painted black. A few of them are still too large for the ladders so I have rebased them and a few are worth enough in resale value to Clix players (ie. Winter Soldier) that I don't want to change them. Since most of the ones I buy are $1 or under, I don't worry about any loss in resale value to clix players on those. Not that I anticipate ever selling them anyway, but just in case. Also I wouldn't be surprised to get equal or better value out of them if I were to sell my collection off in small lots.
I also don't plan on playing a clix game, ever, so that is no lose in usefulness to me. If I manage to pull together some people to game with via Superheros, it will be C3G scape. I also like getting those extra discs and dials out of the bases. I have more than I will ever use now but some of them will get turned into something useful (Man Covers, bases, etc.) |

Re: C3G Promotions Dept. - June is going to be amazing!
The only reason I don't re-base my figures, is that I don't want to spend the xtra $$. I have almost half of the C3G figures and I just don't have the cash for the bases. The Clix bases work fine for now. Unfortunetly, the newer clix figures have massive bases that are hopelessly too large for the ladders, those are the only ones I really wish to re-base.
I don't really have a problem with the re-sale value b/c most of my figures are 1$ or less. I believe my darkseid figure is a 8$ figure but I got him for 2, he would be the only one I would want to keep for re-sale |

I guess w/ C3G's popularity, you could still sell them for almost as much

Re: C3G Promotions Dept. - June is going to be amazing!
Yep. Me too. It's gotten to the point where I'm wondering if I could get any cash for selling all the bases.
C3G can be played with official Heroscape, but it's not recommended.

Re: C3G Promotions Dept. - June is going to be amazing!
If you figure anything out, let me know. Some extra cash for buying more Clix figures to chop up would be nice.
Plus I need to do some printing .... C3G can be played with official Heroscape, but it's not recommended.

I've offered them before, but never have gotten any hits on it. I still keep all my really rare figure bases just in case, though.

Re: C3G Promotions Dept. - June is going to be amazing!
A friend of mine is moving to Seattle and is only taking what will fit in his car. He offered me his comic collection and I gladly excepted. Nine long boxes packed full! A lot of his Marvel collection covers stuff I already own but it covers a longer time span. I am really excited about the DC though. I have read few in the past and look forward to learning about these characters. I also saw comics for Indys that I know there are HC figures for already. Very cool. I can see a comic marathon sometime this winter.
