Don't track the last two, but I may start at some point.

Think I've mentioned this but only in passing: I'm adjusting the way I maintain the synergy archive, on my end, so that I can maintain the thing a little more easily. Plus I have some other IRL craziness, so I probably won't be as quick on the draw with synergy stuff for a little while.

Just giving the card a quick look-over, I think he's gonna have incoming synergy for being a Telepath. Outgoing synergy for Psiots once those are a thing. IBW for flying, the take control power and the SA.

In the short term you can Copy and Paste Telepath and Flying stuff from another thread that has them already done. More recent the release the better. Flying should be pretty easy to find, not sure who the last Telepath released was.

Most Incoming Synergy stuff is up-to-date for most books. Not everything is fully up-to-date - like, a lot of books are still missing 'secret identity synergies', since we only introduced those with Sam last Halloween. But usually, if you're looking for the right link/formatting for a species/class thing or some other straightforward paper synergy, you can get that from any book that has the right species/class.

The IBW standard formatting has been tweaked a couple times relatively recently, though, so a lot of books aren't updated with that. For IBW, you want to go as recent as possible if you're looking for an example - from Young Marvels on is good. From Fright Night on is best, though that's obviously a pretty small number of units.

Peter is stuck in engagement with Changeling and fails a normal attack on him. The Crazy Train is started too late, but Torque engages Changeling and hits him for a wound. Charlene moves adjacent to Changeling and Peter moves free.
Changeling tries to get Torque with the Python and fails.

Unit Summary: First game out with Psiots, so I probably could’ve managed their tactics better, but Peter had no luck shutting anyone down with his Sting Scream and his Psionic Fields, while useful, weren’t tough to work around. He’s a solid leader, but I wouldn’t call him overpowered at all, or question his being dropped to 330 after this one.

Unit Summary: Solid factional leader. At 330, I think he makes for a fun 800 point army with the Psiots, but I wouldn’t call them overpowered at all with him at that cost.

R2: Pete takes two hits and then has to protect himself. Massive 6 skull roll from Torque allows a reposition of the Renegades and takes out Piledriver. Charlene wounds Wrecker in the process. T2 missed on Piledriver. Pete puts 1 on Wrecker, then Torque rolls 6 again, finishing the job. Autoskulls let Bulldozer’s charge kill Pete. TB puts 2 on Torque.
R3: Faith throws TB by Torque and into a tree for 2. Charlene fires up for 2 wounds on Bulldozer, taking 0 for herself. Faith takes one to reposition her and Charlene and throw Bulldozer.
R4: Charlene takes 2 wounds when she fails to burn Bulldozer. Faith kills Bulldozer. Bulldozer kills Torque.
General thoughts: Alright, now this felt like the Renegades. Hit hard, hit fast, and hope things don’t burn out. And boy, did they hit hard. But obviously not hard enough, because things started burning out fast at end of round 2. A bit close in the end thanks to some bad Wrecking Crew rolls, but still a loss.

R1 T3: Misses, brings up Faith.

Pete uses shield to protect Charlene from Wrecker. TB puts 1 on Pete. He responds by putting 2 on TB. Wrecker whiffs defense against a full powered Flamingo Fire. She takes 2. Turn 3 lost on Wrecker. Faith whiffs an attack, but TB whiffs the defense so still takes a wound from the auto.
R3: Renegades win initiative. Pete rolls 2 shields and a blank on Sting Scream, neutralizing Bulldozer for the round. Faith takes a passing swipe to chuck Thunderball. She ekes out the last wound. Turn missed on Thunderball. Pete puts 1 on Piledriver. Torque gets PD down to 1 life. Torque finishes Piledriver.

General thoughts: Oof. Yeah this was the real hit hard hit fast round. Some bad rolls for the Crew, but they also lost like…3 turns due to the figure with the OM dying. Vicious turnout for the Renegades.

Pete rolls all skulls and kills Starfire. Faith throws Tempest but fails to secure the hit.
R3: Renegades lose initiative here. Titans Go, with Tempest taking a swipe to try and get in range to take out Pete. He fails, but positioned well enough for Raven to now be able to take his wound, and pass it to Pete, killing him. Nightwing kills Faith, and puts 2 on Torque. Turn on Pete skipped. Tempest kills Torque.

General thoughts: Yep. Autowounds are the bane of their existence. They tried, but also just don’t have the multiattacks to take down magical defense figures (especially when Charlene drops).

R1 T2: Passes attack (doesn’t want Raven to pass wounds. Moves up Torque.
R1 T3: Misses Tempest. Lets Torque go to reposition army.
R2 T1: Sting Scream for 1 on Starfire and Tempest. Faith throws Starfire.

General thoughts: So…still pretty a swingy faction. This time the momentum got rolling, and the whiff on Nightwing’s defense really neutered the Titans. They were in trouble anyway as Faith managed to get him pulled away, but still a super strong showing here. Lots of missed turns for the Titans here.
Unit Summary:

R1 T3: 3 wounds on Starfire. Lets Torque go to reposition army.
R2 T1: Sting Scream for 1 on Arsenal who is also neutralized. Faith and Charlene kill Nightwing.
R2 T2: 2 wounds on Arsenal. Torque kills Starfire.
R2 T3: 1 on Raven, and another from Torque.
R3 T1: Misses, Torque hits her for 1.
R3 T2: Pete misses, Torque finishes the job.

General Flow:
R1: Starts slow, but Pete rolls 7 skulls against Torch, who miraculously responds with 8 shields rolled. Misses command roll on Thing by 1.
R2: Cap fails to hurt Sue. Torch whiffs his Flame On, but wasn’t hurt in the process. Cap takes 3 wounds from Torch and Reed. Sting Scream rolls all skulls, but still manages to hit Reed for 1. Fails Command roll. Torch roasts Cap. Pete rolls poor and takes 2 from Reed. Gambit doesn’t do much. Torch kills Pete.
R3: In a miracle moment, Gambit kills Reed in 1 turn between Kinetic Card Conversion and sleight of hand. He then kills Johnny.
R4: Gambit kills Sue. Sadly, he goes down to Thing and Star-Lord drops shortly after.

General thoughts: Trying generalist here. The closeish result here was merely because of an absurd streak by Gambit, not because the matchup went well.

He’s definitely still kinda viable in mixed builds, but he’s still a big glass cannon. Might need to lower the Telepathic Command roll if keeping him viable in mixed builds remains a goal (which it probably should). The early Cap charge was probably a mistake, especially with his garbage defense rolling.

Unit Summary:

R1 T2: Gets his big hit blocked by Torch.
R2 T2: Puts 1 on Reed with Sing Scream.


Who won and how many wounds did they have? Fan 4 wins. Thing unwounded.

GENERAL THOUGHTS ON THE TESTED UNIT: He feels a lot better as a factional piece now, and probably still has some validity in mixed builds, but may need the Telepathic Command roll changed. 2-3 is not a bad overall result here, so the sweet spot may well be in the 330-340 range in the end.
