Umm, I think you mean Mars. I downloaded it on Windows, Mac, and my IPhone and I haven't had any problems.

Hmm. I think I might know what happened with you and Maklar, then.
I used a photo-editing program to color the white background of the image to transparency, so that I could effectively cut out the card's shape. This may have taken out bits and pieces of the white in the middle of the card, so that when I added the shadow highlight to the whole image the shadow would show up behind the text. However, on my computer (and even my Kindle) there was no transparency on the white.

What may have happened with you guys is either your downloader or your reader effectively cut corners and counted the slightly tinted white of the card the same as the flat white of the square background, thusly making it all transparent. But I can't imagine why that would happen after the file was exported to PDF. Maybe that's not it at all, but it's a possibility. Could I see a screencap?

I wish I could supply a sceenshot, but interestingly if I open the Codex on our iMac in Firefox the phenomenon doesn't exist. I'm going to try Safari next.

Edit: Safari does show the phenomenon. I don't have a photobucket account so here's a sceenshot showing what I see when I open the Codex using Safari on an iMac running the most current version of Lion (OS X 10.7.5). http://imgur.com/0DBXmBD

So much great stuff here guys. Wanderer999's "sweet 16" drawing in the middle of the strategy review gave me a big goofy grin. There are so many nice touches like that. I agree with others who said the bar has been raised.

Thanks for the kind words guys. I wish that I could have contributed more this issue, but life got in the way (I was also going to draw something for the art team, but I got busy and couldn't finish it.) Hopefully, school and life will slow down enough next issue for me to contribute even more.

As a general (related) s/o to Wanderer, he was great to have on board for the funny stuff like the Sweet 16 drawing he did (which was his own idea altogether, all I told him was that I needed some sort of picture of the Spearmen and he just ran with it) as well as his willingness to take a job even when it wasn't convenient for him and no one directly asked him to.

W999 really kind of carried the art team this issue. He deserves a big round of rep.
