Good news! Griff got back to me just now on the phone. He's been camping and hunting in the back woods for a while, it seems. Also, apparently he always stays signed onto Heroscapers, in invisible mode, but whenever someone gets on a browser (such as his stay-at-home wife) it makes it appear as if he's been online.

So he's not just trying to screw us over or hating us or anything. /suspicions.

Also, he said when he got a chance he'd call technical support and look into it.
C3G can be played with official Heroscape, but it's not recommended.

No, I'm not going to make that kind of request. I'll have access again in a week or so. No worries. We have plenty of great C3G units to play with!

BTW, my boys have been SO into the Super Hero Squad series. We spent days recreating those battles. Really, really fun!

I'm sure there are still a few scenarios left for us to try out.

Common sense suggests the release would be delayed. Let's hope it doesn't come to that.
