Aquilla's Symbol
If anyone has opened a thread about this, I am sorry I am not trying to ride anyone's coattails.

I was staring at Aquilla's symbol and it hit me it not the eye of a breast staring back at us. But it is a crescent moon,and we are staring up at it as if we were on the ground. Here is my question is the Marro hive or the branches and shurbs for the jungle set?

Sorry again if someone has wrote about this I don't remember seeing a thread about Aquilla's symbol.

Was that from Total Recall? Wow, that was certainly not my first impression of the symbol.

On the other hand, I think you may be on to something with the crescent moon. It may be that it is portraying both the moon and an eye. Good thought!

I remember reading that "aquilla" or maybe "aquila" is Latin for "eagle." Ever since hearing that, her symbol strikes me as an eye surrounded by feathers.

I think we all agree what looks to be an eye is in fact the moon, but what really has my eye is what looks to be a Marro hive or the branches and shurbs from the jungle she lives in? Has a long awaited clue been right their before our very eyes? I feel it tells somesomething big to come.

The Jungle is there, but that of course represents her homeland. For now, at least, she is firmly opposed to the Marro invaders--that's my understanding of the back story.

Good catch, though, about the eye/moon thing. I hadn't noticed that.

Yup, Aquila is the genus for true eagles. And genus names are latin. Yay for Carolus Linnaeus.
