This passes! I'm not sure how soon I will get the initial done but I'll start planning for it and see what I can do.

Alright I've set up my tests and started the first squad vs. squad game and I'm already considering a change. It felt like I was rolling for the figures to return a little too often when all 3 OM's were on their card. A.I.M. (x2) managed to take down several in one turn more than once only to see them return faster than they could put them down. While multiple attacks per OM can still keep these guys balanced at a higher point total, I'm just not seeing how a single attack per OM army or figure can deal with them as is. As such I'm proposing we limit the Out of the Shadows power to once per round but then lower the roll down to something like 9+. How do you all feel about that?

I'm cool with that. Getting the respawn rate just right, so that it's powerful but not overwhelming, is gonna make or break the balance here. I'm in favor of turning that dial however you need to.

I wonder if just making it automatic when you reveal the X would be too powerful.

Something where at the end of the round roll and if you reveal the X you add to the roll?

OUT OF THE SHADOWS
After taking a turn with the Foot Clan Ninja, you may reveal an X Order Marker to return a Foot Clan Ninja figure into play by placing it on an empty shadow tile or within 3 spaces of another Foot Clan Ninja figure you control. Figures placed with this power may not be placed adjacent to an opponent's figure.

That may be too slow of a return rate at one per round and never anything more. With just 3 def. dice you are going to lose them fairly quickly.

I don't really feel a unique squad warrants an X reveal mechanic either, that seems more like a Unique hero thing to me.

Rolling at the end of the round for each destroyed ninja seems like an easy adjustment. You can tweak the number from there

What about just changing it to rolling once each turn? That way, when loaded with OMs, they still have the potential to bring back 3 a round, but never more than that.
