Re: The Book of C3G Equipment Glyph Rules
Or you could redefine clear sight. Sort of like what was done with figures adjacent to spaces.

Re: The Book of C3G Equipment Glyph Rules
That isn't ideal. I am sticking to what Tickle said. Btw, what is weird about glyphs or figures for that matter getting thrown through walls and buildings? Have you ever read a comic book?

Re: The Book of C3G Equipment Glyph Rules
There is the impossible factor of being inside of a covered structure and knocking an item through a wall or a roof across a field - but I think I'd rather have little impossibilities than tinker with mechanics.
I like the ability for Glyphs to land in impossible places, though... I mean, in any story, when the Cosmic Cube falls somewhere, it's always in the least likely - but most interesting - place. So it goes! JOHNNY139'S CLASSIC CUSTOM THREAD! | Visit now!

Re: The Book of C3G Equipment Glyph Rules
I just imagine that structures like that have windows that the equipment crashed through.
C3G can be played with official Heroscape, but it's not recommended.

Or just house rule that it can't go through buildings.

Re: The Book of C3G Equipment Glyph Rules
Sure. There's always that. I'd rather just give my buildings windows.

Re: The Book of C3G Equipment Glyph Rules
I suggest adding this to the OP. It was taken from The Book of Mandarin and modified to be a bit more general.
-Rulings and Clarifications- Q: Some heroes have powers that say they can't lose equipment glyphs by any means other than being destroyed. Does that mean Shadow Thief (or other glyph stealers) can't steal them? This may be obvious to some, but is he actually "losing" the ring if Shadow Thief takes it? A: The term "lose" as you have probably already assumed is a keyword used in our rules for Equipment glyphs. That term in the proper context as it is found on certain heroes' cards holds just as much power as any other official term like "move", "attack", "target", etc. In short, Shadow Thief can take a Makluan Ring glyph away from Mandarin (for example) because Mandarin wouldn't technically be "losing" the glyph. To "lose" a glyph, per the C3G rules, is to be wounded or destroyed. That also means that Mandarin could "drop" one if he chose to. |

Re: The Book of C3G Equipment Glyph Rules
When A figure that cannot lose an equipment glyph is destroyed while in possession of the glygh, is the glyph destroyed with him?

Re: The Book of C3G Equipment Glyph Rules
"Lose" just means they cannot have it knocked away from them by taking wounds. When they're destroyed, they still leave the glyph on the battlefield.

Re: The Book of C3G Equipment Glyph Rules
Quote:
The original Heroscape rules had you place a glyph on the space last occupied, with a max of one glyph with any additional glyphs then destroyed. C3G keeps all the glyphs in play by having them scattered about after a figures death. |

Re: The Book of C3G Equipment Glyph Rules
I'm pretty sure our Equipment Glyph rules actually predate the Treasure Glyphs, if those are the original Heroscape rules you're referring to. The Equipment Glyph rules were developed based off a Hulk scenario in the Hasbro Marvel Master Set.
C3G can be played with official Heroscape, but it's not recommended.
