- Give a brief overview. First game using spellcasters. Lot of fun with being able to move markers and use the defensive abilities (set Zatanna's d20 wound ability at 16). Over extended at a bad point and Dr. Strange pushed through with his ability to get past Magical Defense.

Avengers won with 4 wounds on Dr. Strange, no wounds on Black Panther, all others destroyed.

Early - Started the game off hot, hit 16 immediately and threw a wound onto Dr. Strange without thinking about it. This got healed later while I developed my magicians to stand near some bushes to get defense boosts while being within sight of Zatanna. Opponent moved up with Beast and Dr. Strange, using beast to keep initiative because I refused to remove markers.

Mid - Had some back and forth flinging spells and held steady with Zatanna's ability that let me put wounds onto beast once in a while. Used Zatara most of the time to get the most out of my economy and eventually took a turn with brother voodoo. Took control of Dr. Strange, had him move back to the start zone and hit Iron Man with a heavy normal attack and then cast Final Ruin to destroy him. Beast fell to autowounds, and Zatara bit the dust to Dr. Strange.

Late - I went all in with Wheel of Fortune and was able to rack up some heavy damage with Zatanna's ability. I had the double d20 roll affect rolls to boost up to 39, 17, 17, 15 and 22. The 17 was on Brother Voodoo once which helped disperse wounds. I lost Zatanna because I got too greedy and had her place a wound when rolling the 22 and whiffed with her defense. Wiccan and Brother Voodoo fell on the next round due to poor OM placement from myself.

Doom's team won with Black Panther dead, 1 wound on Doom.


Early - Doom and Black Panther took height and pushed toward the start zone quick, I took a round to move up all my units to the shadow near my start zone. Zatanna took a wound from doom early when he engaged and attacked down on her.

Mid - I used Tarot Wheel of Fortune on the second round, lost initiative so Doom got to use it first on his ability but whiffed with a 13 total after modification. I then used it on Zatanna and used Hypnotize to knock off an order marker. Ofter the course of the round I was able to kill Black Panther with just Tarot rolls but Doom used it to good effect as well to boost up and take magical defense which he used to kill Zatanna. Wasn't able to get a negation marker out on anyone which hurt. Flesh to Stone allowed me to place one wound marker while rolling twice.

Late - Karnilla was able to put one wound on Doom, could not get close enough to try and ensare Beast as her love. Kristoff Doom killed Karnilla on equal ground with 4 skulls rolled on a lightning bolt spell. Zatara tried throwing a few spells into doom but died within the round.

Player 1's THOUGHTS ON THE TESTED UNIT'S COST, BALANCE, & DRAFTABILITY:
The spell definitely has a use, I wanted to try and do something unique with the strong "negation" build because my thought was that I could use the double roll to force some negation markers out. If it worked I think it would have been devastating. Best build is with Doves to Danger, and I think it has some good draftability with Flesh to Stone if you are in a position to hit a lot of figures and looking for an initiative switch.


Player 2's THOUGHTS ON THE TESTED UNIT'S COST, BALANCE, & DRAFTABILITY:
Thought the spell was fun to have, commented that it really hurts to have if both players have strong d20 abilities that can trigger on the opponent's turn or grant extra turns. Seems fair that it affects both players.

Typing a bit here to try and get past Heroscaper's default text lower-caser thing.

I think this could be used as justification to bump it back down to 10 points, but I'm gonna stay the course. Just need 1 more Yea.

(But yeah, not valuing those tests very highly. Shiftrex is still learning, but is clearly doing so in good faith.)
