A word on prize structure -
There will be prizes for First, Second and Third places.
There will NOT be guaranteed prizes beyond that.
This does remove the expectation that some prizes
will be supplied by players.

With Heroscape product getting increasingly scarce
the prizes will be as follows.
First place - Gift Certificate = 50% of registration
Second place - Gift Certificate = 30% of registration
Third place - Gift Certificate = 20% of registration

Additional prizes are always welcome and will be handed out on a superlative basis - (i.e. Furthest Distance Travelled, Best Sportsmanship, Most points scored against Gordon.)

There will be a focus on getting new players to give it a try, so loaner armies will be readily available.

One suggestion I make is to allow 30 starting spaces but only 24 figures. So you can do things like this:

Those are some great suggestions lefton4ya, and I'd be tempted by your Grok challenge, if I had any Groks.

I have two builds in mind that I'm very excited about. One involving the fellow that serves as my icon, and another that does not include Cap, but I think will be much more fun to play. Since I won the last tourney playing defensively, I am leaning heavily to switching gears and going with the very fun to play, more aggressive build.

I'll be there, with Avernus and one other map. And I'm tempted to run Groks, though I'm looking into all kinds of army ideas (which will need tweaking now that Marvel is officially allowed).

NOTE: With Marvel allowed and basically 30 points/hex, 24 Black Wyrmlings doesn't sound too bad...if anyone has that many.

Thanks for the suggestion... I think it is a valid idea. If anyone wants to run a build that meets this criteria, it will be fine with me.. I will change the OP to reflect this in a day or so.

A black wyrmling army would be downright nasty against a Marvel build.

Anyway, I'll bring a lava map...haven't decided which one yet. I don't own a Volcarren, but Jschild gave me the idea to make my own lava, and I just got it done. I'll let you guys decide how well it turned out.
