After taking a turn with a figure you control named Batman, if that Batman is within 6 clear sight spaces of Robin and is engaged, you may place Robin on an empty space adjacent to that Batman and at least one enemy figure. Then, if that Batman is a Valiant Crime Fighter, you may attack with Robin. Figures moved by this special power will not take leaving engagement attacks.

When Robin attacks an adjacent figure with his normal attack and no skulls are rolled, you may count all shields rolled as hits.

Pre-Game Thoughts/Preview : Superman has the potential to do some crazy damage. The Red Team is going to want to use Jonah/Bishops range to whittle Young Justice down before they can get in.

Robin takes the Police Scanner. Batman takes Police Scanner, Smoke Pellets, and Kryptonite Gauntlets. Jonah Hex chooses Superboy for Bounty Hunter.

ROUND 1 : Red Team initiative.
Both teams jockey for position in the center, taking potshots all the while. Superboy tries to fly in for a big attack, but Batman uses his Smoke Pellet to get out of dodge.

ROUND 2 : Red Team initiative.
Batman and Robin pounce on Superboy, but he tanks through their attacks. Impulse runs down the field after Jonah, dealing 3 wounds with his attacks. Adam and Burt attack Superboy again, nearly killing Superboy. Superboy uses his Tactile Telekinesis to move Robin to low ground and kill him. Jonah scores 2 wounds onto Impulse.

ROUND 3 : Young Justice initiative. Bishop enters the battlefield.
Impulse starts the round, killing Jonah but taking a wound in the process. YJ gets the advantage this round, with Impulse also killing Batman.


ROUND 4 : Red Team initiative.
Bishop uses the initiative win to get the kill on Impulse. Both teams stalemate this round, with the only action being a wound onto Bishop.

ROUND 5 : Young Justice initiative.
Superboy and Robin both fail to wound Bishop. Bishop safely disengages from them both, and gets some great Concussive Blast rolls to kill them both in one turn. Red Team wins!

Who won? List figures remaining in the winning army (include life remaining for heroes): Bishop 3/5 Life

Post-Game Thoughts : Maybe a little light of a performance from Robin ; He only got 1 wound, but it was onto the most valuable member of the blue team. Getting 4 utility glyphs for 200 points seems like it could be really useful in some matchups.

Pre-Game Thoughts/Preview : Rogues have some solid utility and bonding. I think I’m going to use Batman/Robin as an early game duo, and try and have them take out a valuable unit like Captain Cold or Weather Wizard.

Robin takes Smoke Pellets. Batman takes Smoke Pellets, Bat-Rope, and Bolas. Golden Glider chooses Captain Cold for Rogue Duo.

ROUND 1 : Red Team initiative.
Mostly just movement from each team. Batman takes a wound from Blacksmith on OM 3.

ROUND 2 : Rogue initiative.
Batman takes a wound from Golden Glider. He and Robin then go after her, and take her down. Captain Cold takes Batman out with his special attack, so Savage Dragon takes the remaining OMs. Dragon/Dusk move up, with Dragon dealing a wound to Girder on OM 3, and Dusk moving some people around with his special attack.

ROUND 3 : Rogue initiative.
The Rogues focus fire Savage Dragon this round, wearing him down and getting the kill. Robin works his way around the side of the center height, and manages to kill Blacksmith in two attacks! John Dusk ends the round heavily wounded.

ROUND 4 : Red Team initiative.
Robin is absolutely on fire with his rolls, killing Captain Cold in 2 attacks. He takes 2 wounds in the process though, leaving a very wounded Robin and Dusk against Weather Wizard and Girder.

ROUND 5 : Rogue initiative.
As hot as Robin has been in this game, he and Dusk die fairly easily to Weather Wizard and his lightning. Rogues win!

Post-Game Thoughts : Robin was absolutely on fire, rolling 3 skulls left and right. The rest of his team let him down a bit though, and the Rogues have such good OM efficiency that they were able to grind the red team down.

‘Sock!’ still hasn’t come into play, but I checked the Batman 66 playtests and it was a similar situation there.

Pre-Game Thoughts/Preview : Trying a Crime Fighter build. I'm thinking Batman and Robin in the Batmobile are going to wait until they zoom towards an isolated member of the blue team.

Robin takes Smoke Pellets. Batman takes Smoke Pellets, Batmobile Remote, and Bolas. Batmobiles takes Caltrops. Batman and Robin start the game in the Batmobile.

ROUND 1 : Crime Fighter initiative.
Mostly movement from both sides. Swordsman blasts Iron Man for one wound.

ROUND 2 : Avenger initiative.
Strange extracts Iron Man and heals him. Iron Man flies forward and shoots Swordsman for 1 wound, and Black Panther also moves up. Black Panther gets into the backline, and kills Swordsman thanks to his height. Cage retaliates by one shotting Iron Man. The Illuminati have been whittling Cage down all round, and he dies after whiffing a roll against Strange’s attack.

ROUND 3 : Crime Fighter initiative.
Batman drives the Batmobile closer to Strange, and then he and Robin hop out, each of them dealing a wound to Strange on their attack. Black Panther moves forward and tosses some daggers at Batman, dealing 2 wounds. Using the Batmobile Remote, Batman gets a wound onto Strange, but Strange avoids the Dynamic Duos normal attacks. Batman burns his Smoke Pellets to avoid Strange’s attack. Batman bolas Black Panther, and Strange ends OM 3 with 1 life left.

ROUND 4 : Avenger initiative.
Using Arcane Avenger, Strange places Black Panther adjacent to himself and Robin. Panther kills Robin in one hit on a good roll, and the wounded Batman dies to Stranges attack. Avengers win!

Post-Game Thoughts : The Illuminati had some solid defensive powers that made them tough to kill. Batman and Robin in the Batmobile aren’t powerhouses, but they had some really fun tricks up their sleeve to keep the game competitive.

General Thoughts on the Tested Unit : I had fun with him, particularly in the endgame of game 3. ‘Sock!’ never activated, but it’s just a little reliability insurance for his mediocre attack of 3. ‘Holy Smokes, Batman!’ is fun, letting you get the duo into melee fairly easily. They're both squishy, but taking Smoke Pellets helps out.

He’s maybe a touch weak, but I honestly don’t think it’s a huge deal. You’ll mostly be bringing him and Batman ‘66 so that you can have 4 utility glyphs for 200 points.
