Character Bio - With the ability to overcome great fear and harness the power of will, test-pilot Hal Jordan was chosen to be the Green Lantern of Sector 2814 inheriting the ring of the dying alien Green Lantern, Abin Sur. He later on went to creating his own power ring from his own will power. Through sheer will power and determination, Hal has established an impressive record of heroism across the galaxy with the help of his fellow Green Lanterns as well as his peers in the Justice League. -Comic Vine

This special attack may only be used once per game and affects all enemy figures within X spaces of Green Lantern. Add X automatic skulls to whatever is rolled. X is equal to the number of Wound Markers on this card, to a maximum of 3.

INDOMITABLE WILL 14
If Green Lantern would be taken control of or destroyed by an enemy figure's attack or special power, roll the 20-sided die. If you roll 14 or higher, instead he ignores that attack or special power.

How long does the Jet pack last? For that move? For that figure turn? Longer?

Last two powers make him Doctor Fate (JL)’s best friend! Though, obviously pairs well with lots of others, like JL John Stewart, JL Superman I and II, and all the usual factional pieces.

Pretty placement-dependent - I like that that should open up a lot of room for Flash's movement stuff to matter.

How about a size restriction on the Jet pack? Otherwise we could have swarms of flying ants/rats or a flying King Kong, unless that was your intent.

Very excited to see more JL designs. Nice combo with JL Barry with his initiative boost. Air Raid and Indomitable Will are fun and should interact well.

Giving friendly figures a move of 6 is a bit weird - I’d just give figures Flying and leave it at that. But I don’t think it breaks anything by changing their move value. It does help slower figures and slows down the potential of people like Flash flying 12 spaces. So I guess it’s not as odd as I initially thought after thinking through it.

Probably don’t need a size limit, but a Unique Hero restriction should solve most of the more obtuse examples like ants or Galactus etc.

Yeah, not something I find absolutely necessary. If we need to save on space we could cut that, so far we’re great on space though so it felt reasonable to not have someone like Flash be able to fly as fast as he can run, and of course helping those that are a little slower. In general, keeping it a standard speed for everyone, makes the most sense, IMO.

290 is currently unrepresented in the faction beyond Booster Gold. 300 has a few in Wonder Woman I, Martian Manhunter I, and Red Tornado I. That’s stiff competition.

Not something I’m opposed to though. Both would have their own army possibilities to varying degrees of effectiveness. If that specific army at that point value is an important one, I have no problem aiming for that. I’m sure there’s someone else that could come in at 290 if we do.

Cool design. Sounds like he's a nasty combo with other JL stuff, but solid on his own too. Neat.

I've never seen/heard of a GL making a jetpack construct before, just bubbles to carry them. Pretty weird but fun.

Not sure how much its been done in the comics, but I did see an example of John creating one, and there is this figure of Hal with one:

Either way, seems up his alley so it felt fitting enough.

I might trend towards re-theming it as a Jet, since they’re such an iconic thing for Hal. But Jet Pack also works, absolutely nothing wrong with it.
