Yeah, I had the same thoughts. You moved his silver weapons to a double attack, but otherwise it's pretty functionally the same.

Does he have a way of shooting stakes? What's the theme to the ranged aspect of it?

So if the goal here is a more support-y team-up Blade, I think it's worth looking at the design from that angle. With the recent Avengers stuff, I've been thinking a bit about the current 2021 Avengers roster. Part of the problem with playing them as an army is that they currently really lack any sort of turn efficiency. (Ronin's BP will help, but not a huge amount.) Giving Blade some sort of generalist turn bonding stuff could help him stand out and want to get drafted. Nebula's power could feel like a cool fit here.

THIS IS HOW IT'S DONE
After revealing an Order Marker on any other Army Card you control and only taking a turn with that card, if an opponent's figure was attacked and did not receive any wounds, immediately take a turn with Blade. During this turn, Blade can only target figures that were previously targeted for an attack and did not receive any wounds during your player turn. After using this special power, you may not take a turn with any other figures.

Or to rep another Ark power, really dig the Tracking effect on his latest Wolverine.

TRACKING 2
If an enemy figure ends its movement 2 to 8 spaces away from Blade, you may immediately move Blade up to 2 spaces closer to that figure.

For LP's comment, I feel like throwing stakes is a pretty trope-y thing at this point? If Buffy can do it, I don't see why Blade can't. Could make it more effective when he's adjacent though, that would actually pair really well with the Tracking power. Also, don't see any reason why Blade shouldn't be able to combo the Execution off of his own attacks?

STAKE EXECUTION 12(?)
After an enemy figure within 4 clear sight spaces of Blade defends against an attack from Blade or a figure friendly to Blade, if the defending figure has only 1 Life remaining, roll the 20-sided die. Add 5 to the roll for each of the following that is true:
-the defending figure is Undead.
-the defending figure is adjacent to Blade.
If you roll 12(?) or higher, destroy the defending figure.

Is there any way he could be a leader for Slayers? I haven't read much Blade, but we already have a decent amount of Slayers to work with so it might be a good angle! Hellboy is solid but only has a single teammate rather than pulls together an army of slayers.

Check out Assassin Spider-Man for a ranged finisher move. You could steal the wording there and tweak to add some anti-undead stuff.

If you roll 10 or higher, inflict one wound on that enemy figure.

I think that plus This is How it's done would be solid and creates an interesting tension. The other was to just give him an SA to make him pair well with Hellboy II but I'm open to other SA ideas.

Looks good. I’d make the ranges on the special attack and Stake Execution the same just for easier memorization.

As long as we're okay with a Silver Weapons SA being functionally the same as the Silver Weapons normal power on Blade 1, I think that's cool.

Of note with that wording Blade can't execute folks from his own attacks. Assassin Spidey uses "Figure you control" rather than Friendly so that he also benefits from it.

We need to double back and figure out what we're doing with that ruling, since I'm pretty sure it's technically invalidated now? We're well past the 2 week limit.

There wasn't anything to update with it or I would have done it, it was just a clarification so we were all on the same page moving forward.
