Character Bio - Anya Sofia Corazon was a victim of chance, caught in a battle between warring mystical clans. Having been wounded in a skirmish while she was at school, she was taken in by the Spider Society and healed. The mystical healing imbued her with spider-like powers, and she decided to join the Spider Society against their adversaries. Meeting Spider-Man at one point, he teaches her that “with great power comes great responsibility,” and she decides to be a hero on her own. She is eventually mentored by Carol Danvers, and gains permanent spider powers during the Spider-Island Event.
Later on, she’s recruited by Spider-UK alongside Spider-Man, Silk, and Spider-Woman to face the Inheritors, immortal hunters of all Spider-Kind. After the Inheritors first defeat, she stays with Spider-UK at the Web Warriors base, becoming his second-in-command. She learns to be a capable leader and trains various Spiders to protect the multi-verse.

After revealing an Order Marker on a card of a Unique Hero you control with a Spider-Verse, Swing Line, or Web Swing special power and before taking a turn with that Hero, you may take a turn with Spider-Girl. You may not take any additional turns with other figures you control. Once per turn, when Spider-Girl attacks a figure, all opponents' figures within 4 spaces of that figure subtract one from their Defense number for the rest of this player turn.

After Spider-Girl attacks an adjacent figure, she may move up to 2 spaces with her Swing Line special power. If she moves at least one space, she may attack an adjacent figure one additional time.

SWING LINE 4
Instead of her normal move, Spider-Girl may move up to 4 spaces with Swing Line. When moving with Swing Line, Spider-Girl has the Flying special power, but may not move up or down more than 40 levels in a single swing, and will not take any leaving engagement attacks.

So Anya is UK's second in command, taking over for him while he and Mayday are indisposed for a while. She's a solid leader and a decently long-term friend of Pete and a solid Spider in her own right.

I think as is her Training is useful to all spiders currently, and obviously a good pair with UK. Her Web Warriors Leadership works well, my only worry about it is that her turn is fairly lackluster, since she only has a single attack of 4. The intent here is to be able to have decent armies without having to invest in Otto, but I worry that her turn efficiency isn't all that great. But Young Justice Robin is pretty good and they're real similar so maybe it's fine.

I'm good with her costing up to 190 points, since she's well established as a spider (She's been fighting crime much longer than Silk for example, and has trained under Ms Marvel and other Avengers). Also 190 is a nice even pairing with UK which would be neat.

I'd simplify the wording on the first power a little:

SPIDER TRAINING
Once per figure turn, if a figure you control with the Swing Line or Web Swing special power would move normally or with the Swing Line or web swing special power, they may add 1 to that movement.

Feels a little odd that she's a leader but the bonding is more sidekick style, but I guess attacking first and granting the additional attack die gets the leader feel across. Should be a solid addition to the faction.

Didn't your last draft have something besides the +1 movement? Don't really love that for the Spiders, most of em don't really need it at all.

It had something else that didn't mechanically work so we swapped. I'm open to other suggestions though, I just liked the synergy it had with UK's opening game movement.

Quick chat on discord gives Spider-Agility from Gwen as a decent alternative instead of the training power of the extra move feels redundant. That gives Anya double attack and then the second figure taking a turn gets two options for their attack boosted by Anya.

Archie, I didn't respond to you earlier sorry! Her leadership here is basically Young Justice Robin's already, so there's some precedence. Also it lets her combo nicely with UK. UK reveals an OM, and still gets multiturns with Anya here.

Alrighty, thinking of moving forward like this. I think Agility will push her closer to 190 which would be cool, but not necessary. My only concern is her adding to a figure's attack, as that would combo will UK's attack boost. If UK has an OM revealed, and the next OM is on Gwen, then that's two attacks from Anya boosted to 5, and then 2 attacks from Gwen boosted to 6. Pretty hefty!

If we don't want the redundant attack boosts, I might just give her 4 range to be a tad more useful (Range also works well with her leader power). Might be a bit too close to Gwen then, but I think they'll play differently enough either way.

If the attack boosting is a bit much, you could flip it, reward the other spider for not attacking the same figures. I think it tracks for the spiders to be sort of hit-and-run and going after different targets, and it means you don't get the double boost when you're just demolishing one guy.

Also could grab that "webbed up" mechanic that got dropped from Peter and have her cut defense.

Alternatively yeah, we could just axe it.
