Thanks all. My one worry with HO is the Brit Cits. If they prove to be too good with Armour Piercer, we could maybe put in a Secret Identity clause which would restrict it to Anderson, Dredd and Hershey, at least for now.

Yeah, I'm actually looking forward to grabbing Dredd and running a game with him again having her boost his SA up (even if it is only once per round, I promise not to screw up the test!).

To me they highlight potential design issues that can impact testing on the competitive end and that might lead to changes for consistency that would make the testing done beforehand less useful.

I definitely am happier with them done at any stage than not at all, but I see them as things we can understand just by looking at a design and that can lead to significant changes in the design itself, so why wouldn't we want to do them first to make sure the version we test is as settled as we can get it through theoryscape?
