Toy Fair 2004 Heroscape Pics

I was searching around the net and found these images from ToyFair 2004 from another site and figured some may enjoy seeing them (again). The black bases look really odd as does Mimring's paint job.

Interesting. I had seen a form of the top one in another thread, but the others are new to me.

Are those trees I seen in the top picture?

It also appears that DW9000 was originally double spaced.

Yes those sure look like trees in the top picture.

I think he is single spaced but the base is an oval and not round.

Now that I look closely, you're right. My bad.
I guess I just can't bare the wait for my own Zelrig to come in the mail... hurry up UPS!

Those are actually a unique squad of broccoli barbarians.

The squad didn't take in focus group sessions. So they replaced them with Samurai, instead.

Nice.

Back to DW9000. His base just seems too wide for just one hex and in the picture he is straddling two hexes.

The black bases are really cool looking. I prefer the ones we have now, but these are really cool pics.

Re: Toy Fair 2004 Heroscape Pics

What a dumb looking game. Who'd want to play it?

I like the green Mimring!
(How many different colors was Mimring before it was released?, In this thread alone, I see both Green and Blue.)

Also, was DW9k Purple with gold stripes? That's awesome. Looks like I need to do another repaint!

Re: Toy Fair 2004 Heroscape Pics

I think, the base that DW9000 is one is on in this picture, is a black base from (the molds of what was used for) the large figures in Battle Ball.
