IDK, if you don't think he'll get to his 3rd target very often anyways, then just go with 2 makers and don't let that once every 4 games +/-3 drive his price for no reason. I don't think I've ever brought Winter Solider back for a 3rd target before, 2 assassinations is generally his max in a game.

I also think the defense subtraction works better then. Lots of stat boosters available if you want to go that route and get both things, while making him better at taking down Nightwing/Flash/etc. with or without the stat boosters in tow. Also less to fear from counter strike types, making him a better general use assassin.

I think -3 can get kind of crazy, but if he's not getting any real bonus for attacking it's not THAT bad. Like, really exploiting it would take really smart army building, quality round-by-round play, and a ton of luck, so I don't mind giving a big reward there. Like, it should be a memorable moment - that time everything went right, and I got to snipe Batman with -3 defense and managed to one-shot him.
If it starts popping up too often, we can play with it... I definitely get the concern, since it's the highest static defense reduction we're done, to my knowledge. But it seems narrow enough to be more fun than punishing. JOHNNY139'S CLASSIC CUSTOM THREAD! | Visit now!

Even so I'd probably still rather run him in an Assassin build rather than an exploitative build. Assassins are solid, cheese like that can be fragile.

Looks fun. I agree with the 2-marker sentiment, and have no preference on subtracting defense or adding attack. Assassin synergies are pretty good so he'll be useful there.

Ah, I thought the compromise was -defense rather than +attack. I'm still in favor of 3 markers and the feeling of progression that comes from it, but it's not a hill I'll die on.
