OHS Season 39 - Snowed In - CONGRATS CAPTAIN STUPENDOUS

@Scaperedude got the victory against me this morning. He's a great player and it was a fun game.

I decided to choose first and took: Cyprien Esenwein, Isamu, Raelin the Kyrie Warrior [RotV], Sonya Esenwein, Marro Stingersx3
He countered with: Krug, Marcu Esenwein, Mezzodemon Warmongersx5

I thought there was a matchup triangle with MC/Greenscales/KMA>Mezzos/Krug>Cyprien/Stingers> MC/Greenscales/KMA, but thought the Mezzos vs. Cyprien matchup would be a lot closer than it ended up being and didn't feel confident in running the Mezzos myself against Cyp/Stingers who had won 3/4 games. Mezzos just shred commons and on a map with all heavy snow height the ability of exo markers to preserve board position is super helpful.

While I was able to quickly establish myself on the hill by Valda, he limited Cyprien to usually get just one Mezzo/Exo per turn with good Mezzo placement while taking out Raelin on the single 4 hex. This thwarted by initial plan to use Cyprien to take out Mezzos and exo markers to save Stingers for Krug. When I moved up my Stingers to use height and pound through exo markers, he finished off Raelin and 4/5A vs. the Stingers 3D quickly took the squad out. Moving Cyprien through the start zone was effective at dealing with Mezzos, but in a critical round he got two attacks from height on OM1 that dealt 5 wounds. Cyprien didn't last the round and the endgame was Isamu/Stingers trying their best to eliminate the final exo markers so Sonya could life drain back to health and stand a chance. Game ended with 5 Mezzos, 3 exo markers, and full Marcu/Krug.
