Cyclops is hands-down my favorite X-Men character and one of my favorite Marvel characters. Definitely couldn't hurt to have another version kicking around!

I actually recently picked up a clix for the All-New X-Men version of Cyclops, from the new Uncanny X-Men Heroclix set. I've been doing a little bit of brainstorming for Cyclops (and the rest of the gang), but I don't have anything solid yet.

Never did finish reading Bendis' All-New X-Men run, so I might go back and close it out before I get back to thinking about them.

We totally need a Cyclops (II) to represent him from the past 15 years or so of comics; one of the most iconic eras of a main character that hasn't been done yet in C3G in my opinion.

Indiana Jones seems like a really odd fit in a game of superheroes to me, but I wouldn't stand in the way of someone else running with him.

Cyclops is my 2nd favorite X-men, and I'd love to see a new version of him.

I think I know the answer to this, but as someone who doesn't closely follow Marvel comics, what distinguishes the Cyclops of the last 15 years? Is it his taking on the Magneto/Mutant revolutionary role?

More that he replaced and went beyond Xavier, becoming essentially the leader of the entire mutant species and a brilliant tactician. In recent years that has shifted to the revolutionary/super villain role. I think we could capture that whole range in a single design though. He really should be a better Mutant hub than Xavier is, though balancing that would be a real trick.

He's gradually shifted into a more militant worldview than Xavier, and actually works as a better stand in for Malcolm X now than Magneto did back in the day. Cyclops doesn't want to rule humanity or anything, but he's come to believe that Mutants are better off separated from humans, just like Malcolm X believe about black and white people.

I mean, he created a Mutant colony on the island that used to be asteroid M for Pete's sake. He's practically become the new Magneto. Funnily enough, Wolverine has basically become the new Professor X, albeit a bit more blue collar than ol' Chuck, but still.

I think 'better Mutant hub than Xavier' pretty much equals broken, plus, however brilliant a tactician he is, he isn't one of the most powerful telepaths on the planet, which is part of why Xavier's so good at command and control - I think different would be a better plan than better.

Like the old saying goes, don't knock it until you try it. Cyclops and Superman are interesting, but when a writer doesn't get the character, the character won't come off very well. Superman probably suffers from it more than Cyclops.

Cyclops suffers mostly in adaptation - I don't think he's been written interestingly in any of the cartoons/movies/video games out there. Sort of stuck being the straight man.
