Ran this one a few times as I think it is important to get it right. The special attack was a bit too good at assassinating Sue early. So dropping that made it a lot closer of a matchup.

THOUGHTS ON THE TESTED UNIT'S COST, BALANCE, & DRAFTABILITY: I think he is pretty close, all of these came down to the wire for the most part, if he loses another game or two we can always give him another point or two of life.

World Eater: Removed road pieces turns 1 and 2 and then the bridge at the end of round 1. Totally slowed the Guardians down and left them sitting ducks.


R1 - Vance kills an Tree of Death. Galactus attacks Vance for 2 wounds. He re-rolled 5 dice, got no skulls. Galactus kills Vance. Galactus kills Nikki.
R2 – Galactus kills Charlie-27 rolling 4 skulls and then re-rolls and gets 4 more skulls. Yondu attcks Galactus but it blocked after re-rolling. Marty attacks Galactus but its blocked after re-rolling. Martinex attacks but is blocked. Galactus takes a leaving engagement wound. Galactus kills Martinex.

Power Cosmic Source: Used almost every turn. Very helpful with Surfer.

World Eater: Healed some wounds to stay around longer. Slowed down Cap and Black Panther some by removing key pieces.

R1 – Galactus removes 3 terrain pieces. Silver Surfer hits Cap for 1 wound. Galactus hits Black Panther for a wound and removes 3 terrain pieces. Thor hits Surfer for 4 wounds. She-Hulk hits Galactus for 2 wounds.
R2 – Surfer hits Thor for 5 wounds. Thor attacks Surfer who blocks it and heals one wound. Galactus takes 3 wounds from She-Hulk. Galactus attacks She-Hulk who blocks it. Galactus heals a wound, eats 2 terrain pieces and puts wounds on Cap and Thor. Thor hits Surfer for 2 wounds. She-Hulk hits Galactus for 2 wounds.
R3 – Cap attacks Surfer who blocks and heals a wound. Surfer attacks and kills Thor. Cap hits Galactus for 1 wound and She-Hulks Hits him for 2 wounds. Galactus attacks Cap who blocks it. Galactus heals 2 wounds, removes 2 terrain pieces and puts a wound on Cap. Cap hits Galactus for 1 wound and blocks She-Hulks attack. Galactus kills Cap.
R4 – She-Hulk attacks Galactus, its blocked. Surfer hits She-Hulk for 2 wounds. Black Panther kills Galactus. She-Hulk kills Surfer to end the game.

Power Cosmic Source: This was huge in this game. Every attack was 5 or 6 skulls after re-rolls. Tough to stop that.

World Eater: Fun power. Being able to remove road pieces is huge against non flyers.

Galactus chipped away at Superman, and rolled just enough shields to avoid major damage. Once Superman went down he one-shot Batman, who rolled all skulls and took down Wonder Woman over 2 attacks. Only moved on turn 2 of round 1 after removing some terrain to create space for his footprint.

THOUGHTS ON THE TESTED UNIT'S COST, BALANCE, & DRAFTABILITY: The design is great but might need a stat change. Felt thematic paired with Silver Surfer despite the loss.

GENERAL THOUGHTS ON THE TESTED UNIT: Galactus went 2 and 1 with 2 blowout wins and a bad loss. Game one the Guardians couldn't handle the big attack with the re-rolls. Anytime he attacks it seems like its 5 or 6 skulls. That is tough to stop. In game 2 he faced two strong attackers in Thor and She-Hulk. I think part of the issue in that loss was that he was using his extra order markers for re-rolls for Surfer's attack or defense. It didn't leave as many for him to be able to help his defense. He might be a better in a single figure army? I could see his attack and range maybe dropping 1 or limiting the re-roll to 2 dice per order marker removal, or some other type of cap. He's not far off.
