In CAPTAIN AMERICA: CIVIL WAR, an incident leads to the Avengers developing a schism over how to deal with situations, which escalates into an open fight between allies Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr.) and Captain America (Chris Evans).

WAR looks to bring audiences the biggest ensemble in a Marvel movie yet, also boasting the acting talents of Scarlett Johansson as Black Widow, Sebastian Stan as The Winter Soldier, Anthony Mackie as The Falcon, Paul Bettany as The Vision, Jeremy Renner as Hawkeye, Don Cheadle as War Machine, Elizabeth Olsen Scarlet Witch, Paul Rudd as Ant-Man, Chadwick Boseman as Black Panther, Emily VanCamp as Agent 13, Frank Grillo as Crossbones, William Hurt as General Thaddeus 'Thunderbolt' Ross, Martin Freeman in an undisclosed role, and last, but not least, Tom Holland as Spider-Man!

Given that Disney's expo has been home to some amazing test footage in the past, I'm happy to report that this year was no different! Following Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige, Anthony Mackie and Chris Evans took the stage to show off some scenes from CIVIL WAR!

Here's a breakdown of some of the new footage: (spoilers)

Spoiler Alert!

Captain America, the Falcon, and Black Widow kick off the footage, surveying a marketplace.
Falcon voice activates a drone version of his comic book sidekick, after which it surveys a nearby truck which has a battering ram built within it.
The trio springs into action! Falcon leaps off a building and spreads his wings. Widow runs and flips through the market with grace and precision.
Cap finds Crossbones standing in the center of the market, and they engage in combat. Crossbones blames Cap for his face, after which his masked is knocked off. He says something about Bucky that catches Cap's attention.
General Ross begins a narration about the "unpayable debt" owed to Captain America, of which during we see shots of the different Avengers.
Tony Stark quips about wanting to punch Cap in his "perfect teeth."
A shot follows of Captain America's team (Falcon, Scarlet Witch, and Hawkeye) gathering.
Hawkeye and Black Widow fight! Widow quips, "We're still friends, right?" Hawkeye responds with, "It depends on how hard you hit me!"
Falcon opens up a van to find Scott Lang (Ant-Man) sleeping inside.
Lang is super excited to meet Captain America! We're talking fanboy excited! Unable to take his eyes of Cap, he states, "I'm shaking your hand too long." He thanks the Avengers for thinking of him.

Also talked about (albeit briefly) was the upcoming DOCTOR STRANGE. After his career is destroyed, a brilliant but arrogant surgeon, Dr. Stephen Strange (Benedict Cumberbatch) gets a new lease on life when a sorcerer takes him under his wing and trains him to defend the world against evil. This is the set-up for DOCTOR STRANGE and similar to GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY, it boasts a world that's very different from what we've seen in most superhero movies. Kevin Feige stated that there was no footage to show, as they haven't started filming, but he did present a reel of concept art narrated by Scott Derrickson. Some of the art included Strange being monitored by S.H.I.E.L.D., costume variations for the Sorcerer Supreme, city shots with cars floating in the air, and a final rendered test shot of a hand shooting a light projectile.

CAPTAIN AMERICA: CIVIL WAR will hit theaters on May 6, 2016, with DOCTOR STRANGE opening on November 4, 2016.

To be fair, its not really pick a side, since the movie is Captain America: Civil War. Iron Man is just the villain of the story. Next summer can't arrive soon enough.

I think the core question of "freedom vs. safety" is an interesting one, but neither the original comic nor the upcoming movie seem to be interested in exploring it in any capacity beyond "one side is good and one side is bad."

I mean, it's essentially the same question as Winter Soldier, and they resolved the moral question there by revealing "the other guys were secretly Nazis the whole time!"

What they've said about Freeman's role makes him sound a lot like Henry Gyrich to me. Ross is another strong possibility, though.

Probably tough to go too deep into it. This goes on in everyday life all the time. Be it religion, politics, civil rights, animal rights etc. One side thinks they are doing what's right and acceptable, while those on the other side think the same thing. Often it ends up being treated as "one side is good and one side is bad."

As far as the movie and comics go, I suppose they just let the audience and readers decide what side they are on.

She's got the physical presence of Captain Marvel, sure, but can she act? Given that she will have to carry her own film, as well as work inside of the larger Avengers group, she'll need more than the looks.

She was in Expendables 3, Furious Seven and Entourage and starting on Mile 22(sounds like she will be co-starring with Mark Wahlberg). I have heard a few interviews with her and she certainly has the 'it factor'. If she has the acting chops to pull off the role is yet to be seen.
