After reading the playtest results I think that 200 points is a better fit.

My observation is that C3V almost always overshoots the value on these big-bruiser types, and I don't want to repeat that error. The exceptions would be Incendiborgs and Quahon, but they both have ranged multi-target attacks and in Quahon's case also bonding with solid bonding squads. My instinct was actually to go for 190; 200 was my "conservative" estimate.
I'm not sure what testing at 10 points less is supposed to tell us that we can't already tell from looking at the tests that we have. A 2-range multi-target attack is still not a range 6 normal attack x3 or a range 4/7/9 triple special attack. Those can all occur behind a screen. Ozuul has a huge risk of friendly fire.
I'm sure he'll be good in multiplayer, but I don't think he'll be Braxas-level good. I didn't think Ozuul was particularly powerful when I tested him. The issue seems that Ozuul can so easily alter the landscape of the battle, but he doesn't fit super well with other units which would take advantage of the altered landscape if Ozuul's offensive output peeters out. I'd like to try him with the Cathar. Moving figures around is such a powerful ability that warrants a high price point, but it seems like it's just a bit too difficult to capitalize upon with this design.
The design just didn't seem like it was as compelling as it should have been. The mechanic of moving figures adjacent to him can be a little clumsy when you opponent uses it to reposition their figures to height or into a more advantageous configuration. Also, it just seems a bit weak that Ozuul fits so nicely as an "Outsider" but isn't one. I obviously understand the limitations there. Design just seems like it's not where it should be, to me. Hope my ramblings are helpful. If I can help let me know! Painting my Ozuul right now, going to try to keep it as purple as possible. |

I'm in favor of Outsider here. The synergy isn't particularly strong and I don't think it really impacts his value.

Not sure where the Outsider squad design is at these days, but if it's anything like how it was eons ago when I tested them, Ozuul should have some changes to his power set to better match him to the faction mechanically.
