Spoiler Alert!

Round 1: Fan4 move up. Guy flies adjacent to Sue and deals her 3 wounds, then Plastic Man pops out of his ring to also engage Sue and Reed. Thing brings Guy to 2 wounds. Hawkwoman kills Sue.

Round 2: Johnny engages Hawkwoman and Plastic Man and puts 3 wounds on Plastic Man. Guy puts 4 wounds onto Reed. Thing puts 2 wounds on Hawkwoman, then he and Reed each burn a battery marker from Guy. Hawkwoman kills Reed, then Green Arrow wounds Thing. Lost OM3 on Reed. Hawkwoman misses.

Round 3: Johnny burns one of Guy’s markers. Hawkwoman misses. Guy wounds Thing. Green Arrow puts 3 wounds on Johnny. Thing is blocked twice.

Round 4: Johnny manages to take out Plastic Man, Hawkwoman, and Guy with an initiative switch and lucky Flame On 4. Thing moves up. Green Arrow desperately tries to take out Johnny to rob Thing of his attack boost, but only manages one wound. Thing one-shots Green Arrow.


Who won? List figures remaining in the winning army (include life remaining for heroes): Thing (2 wounds), Human Torch (4 wounds) win.

Felt like anyone’s game, the Fan4 had a crucial initiative win in the last round - likely would have been a blowout loss for the Fan4 without that. Plastic Man didn’t have a ton of impact on the game, but he’s a fun unit and Rubbery Rebound is naturally a swingy power.

Round 1: Green Arrow puts a couple wounds on Vulture. Electro puts 2 wounds on Hawkwoman. Guy one-shots Sandman with his overextend. Doc Ock and Kraven bring Guy to 3 wounds and burn a battery marker. Plastic Man pops up next to Hawkwoman, then Mysterio switches places with Plastic Man.

Round 2: Kraven burns two of Guy’s batteries. Hawkwoman kills Vulture, then Green Arrow puts 2 wounds on Electro. Doc Ock burns Guy’s last battery, then Electro attacks Plastic Man but is blocked. Hawkwoman is blocked, then Green Arrow is blocked. Mysterio smoke and mirrors Green Arrow, but Plastic Man drags Mysterio back to low ground. Kraven kills Guy and Electro puts 2 wounds on Plastic Man. Hawkwoman wounds Kraven and Green Arrow wounds Electro.

Round 3: Kraven kills Hawkwoman. Electro and Doc Ock attack Plastic Man, managing one wound. Plastic Man kills Electro then Green Arrow misses due to Mysterio’s Vanishing Act. Doc Ock puts 2 wounds on Green Arrow. Green Arrow wounds Kraven.

Round 4: Green Arrow puts a couple wounds on Kraven before he and Plastic Man are taken out.


Who won? List figures remaining in the winning army (include life remaining for heroes): Doc Ock (0 wounds), Kraven (4 wounds), Mysterio (0 wounds).

The Sinister 6 just outclassed the JL here. Haven't played them a lot and I think it was a mistake not going after Doc Ock immediately - his tentacle swat power led me to avoid that. Plastic Man was useful as a blocker and inflicted a few wounds.

THOUGHTS ON THE TESTED UNIT'S COST, BALANCE, & DRAFTABILITY: Fun design, Plastic Man felt like a very mischievous figure on the battlefield. He didn’t do much offensively and has a fairly big weakness to special attacks. I think he could be safely taken down to the 180 range if you wanted - he’s a tricky unit to use well. Super fun though, nobody else really drags figures around like him. He's like a Stuck/Rubber Wrap unit but actually fun to play against.

Glad to hear you had fun with and against him as well. Definitely important when trying to introduce another pesky figure.

Let's try the next set at (edit)*190, and see how that goes. 1 more set should give us all the data we need after 6 close wins/losses at 200-210, and your medium loss at 210. We can finalize after that.

Abilities: Moved with Pesky Plasticity 3 times. Was never attacked.

General Flow:
R1: Torch takes a hit, but Drax takes 2 as well.
R2: Drax moves up with Pigeon, but Livewire gets Torch out of danger instead of giving Plas the attack. Drax takes 2 from Torch. Drax kills the Pigeon. Torch and Plas put 4 wounds on Star-Lord. Charlene gets another wound on Drax.
R3: Team Movement wins crucial initiative. Torch goes Supernova and rolls 5 skulls, which kills Drax and Star-Lord. Gamora kills johnny. Gamora whiffs and dies to Chucky.

General thoughts: A five skull roll from Torch was the real clencher here. Plas’s main use here was really just being able to hold the foes in place so they couldn’t really back off to go for other important pieces. He and Chucky together made for solid blockers that kept gumming up the works for his foes.

Unit Summary:
R2 T1: Rides along with Venom pigeon.
R2 T2: Torch snags Plas from the air, allowing Livewire to give Plas an attack to hurt Star-Lord.

Who won and how many wounds did they have? Move team wins. Livewire, Charlene, Plastic Man, and Chucky all unwounded.

General Flow:
R1: Team movement takes the entirety of the high ground in the middle by the end of turn 2.
R2: A pounding is put on Torch, but he barely makes it out of the Psionic Grip roll, putting him 1 hit from death, but he puts 2 wounds on Beast and Jean from this. Beast is thrown around, but Jean stops Torch from more Flaming. Beast’s whirlwind kills Plas (4 skulls vs 2 shields) and Faith. Jean throws and kills Torch.
R3 and R4: Cyclops moves Beast into position and has Jean throw Livewire into the fray. Ragdoll runs away some, but he’s able to remove an order marker. Some wounds are able to be gotten on Professor X, but ultimately the team drops.
General thoughts: Surprising how well Psionic Grip neuters this team. Several times something was attempted that basically got shut down by Psionic Grip. Didn’t think it would be quite this big. Clearly Jean should have been the first target.

Unit Summary:
R1 T2: Breaks disguise to drop by Faith, who he tags along with up to the high ground. Unhurt by Iceman’s special.
R1 T3: Fails to hurt Iceman, takes 2 from Cyclops’s Eye Blast.
R2 T2: Plas pull Faith back into the fray after she carries Livewire to safety.
R2 T3: Plas dies to Beast, missing his Rebound roll by 1.

Who won and how many wounds did they have? XMen win. 2 wounds each on Beast, Professor X, Jean Grey, and Iceman, Angel and Cyclops unwounded.

General Flow:
R1: Chucky and Torch take a quick 3 and 2 wounds respectively from Cyclops. Torch does manage to drop behind his foes, planting Plastic Man right smack dab beside Shadowcat.
R2: Important initiative to team movement. Faith flies Livewire up, but X reveal is used for Torch to safely hit X and Shadowcat both with Flame On (Angel safe). Beast whiffs both Whirlwind attacks. Iceman kills Plastic Man. Mad risk play, as Torch risks 4 leaving engagement attacks. He takes 2 hits, which puts him at 1 life remaining. He Supernovas, killing all foes but Cyclops. Faith and Livewire finish off Cyclops.

General thoughts: Trying a rerun of previous game, essentially swapping out Jean and dropping Ragdoll. Want to see how much Psionic Grip really messed with stuff. Definitely a clencher moment/decision with Plastic Man v Torch. Gonna play it both ways. Above was the try and free Professor X route. I’ll spoiler the separate run.

Unit Summary:
R1 T3: Breaks Disguise by Shadowcat.
R2 T1: Influences turn, as foes can’t run Professor X away, they kill him with a Special Attack from Iceman.

Who won and how many wounds did they have? Team Movement win. Torch with 4 wounds. Chucky with 3 wounds. Livewire and Faith unwounded.

R2: Run differently. Now Iceman whiffs the roll when he targets Human Torch. Torch still kills X and Shadowcat, but Angel carts Cyclops to safety. After Beast is hurt, Angel then carries both of them away. Chucky hits Iceman for 1.
R3: Initiative Movement team still. Torch roasts Beast and puts 2 on Angel. All skulls on Faith’s throw kills Angel. Cyclops tries his Optic beam to no avail outside a wound on Plas.
R4: Cyclops tries again, but Faith throws him at a tree, which Plas uses to finish the job.
Unit Summary:
R1 T3: Breaks Disguise by Shadowcat.
R2 T2: Yanks Angel back when he starts to fly.
R3 T2: Moves next to Faith.
R3 T3: Moves by Faith to be ready to drag Angel back.
R4 T1: Deals final wound to Cyclops.
Who won and how many wounds did they have? Team Movement win. Plastic Man II with 1 wound. Livewire and Faith unwounded.

GENERAL THOUGHTS ON THE TESTED UNIT: His interaction with carry units is super duper weird. Other than that, he’s fine. Special attacks will definitely tear into him, but he has some decent potential against normal attacks. Pretty easy to try and specifically target him with Specials to dodge rebound altogether.
