This project is based off of the official MARVEL 'Scape figures, which were never tested to be playable or balanced with the official Heroscape figures, for one thing.

Swamper, C3G is designed to be it's own standalone game almost that uses the base rules of Heroscape. We have tons of optional rules and additions that makes our stuff more and more separate from Classic.

The classic Zombies are too squad-based, I think. Also too fantasy. I want some cop zombies and cheerleader zombies.

The squad based thing is easy to fix. Just change Zombie Rise Again to something like

Whenever a Zombie causes a wound, roll the d20. If you roll x or higher, destroy the figure and replace it with a previously destroyed zombie. Add one to the roll for each wound marker on the card. Subtract x if the figure has the superstrength symbol.

Nah, I mean, you kill 400+ point units to get back a puny 20 point zombie. It's not a good fit for a superhero-centric game - I'd rather have the destroyed figures come back as zombies, powers intact.

Plus, any changes to the original version would require playtesting, at which point we might as well just make our own version and try to make it as unique and cool as possible.

Yep. I think it'd be so much worse to create a half-arsed version of the zombies based on the original ones and claim we did something special (rather than just creating a lesser version of the originals). The originals are really cool. If we ever do C3G zombies, we should strive for something equally cool.

Griff had a ton of really cool zombie ideas fwiw. Hopefully someone in the sanctum is willing to draft them up and run with them eventually.
