Does Odin get an extra life from his Odin Force?

I'm not in the rules dept, so this may be incorrect, but I'm pretty sure he doesn't.

For reference, the power in question.

ODIN FORCE
All Unique Asgardian Heroes you control add 1 to their Life numbers while you control Odin on the battlefield.

Odin is an Event hero, so he would not receive his own bonus.

EDIT: Uncommon Hero's are considered Unique though so the Asgardian Warriors would receive the bonus.

And we generally don't do FAQs for things that are specifically written in the power text.

A few miscellaneous points:

1. ODIN FORCE's reference to "Life values" in the card images and PDFs should be updated to say "Life numbers." (The SP and Sortable Index file are already correct.)
   
   
2. Unless there is some way for Odin to be actively doing something when he is off the battlefield, I believe the phrase "while you control Odin on the battlefield" is unconventional and redundant. (At an earlier design stage, did he used to be off the battlefield for the Odinsleep?)
   
   
3. ODINSLEEP, as written, sounds mandatory when you hit 5 wounds. Is that the design intent? (If not, a "you may" would be advisable.)
   
   
4. Just checking ... While in the ODINSLEEP, Odin can roll defense dice, and special powers on his own card are all active, right?

I believe that Odinsleep is mandatory (and I've always played it that way) - it happens automatically and generally at inopportune times in the comics. As for your fourth point, yes, I believe that is correct; Odin Force remains active and he rolls defense dice, but everything else is negated/impossible.

First two are both on point though.

Since the "official" figures are so expensive, here's a way to make your own Odin with supplies virtually any 'Scape already has! It requires Thorgrim the Viking Champion, and the Tarn Viking Warrior that is holding a spear.

First, you need to cut off Thorgrim's sword arm right at the sleeve. His sword is adhered to his foot, so you'll have to do some carving to get it out. There will be a gap in his ankle when you're done, but don't worry about that yet.

Next, take you Viking Warrior, and chop of his spear arm at his sleeve, also. Then you'll have to take the severed arm with the spear, and glue it onto Thorgrim's stump in the same position, it should fit well, considering the two are in the same pose! Now, to cover the area in his foot that has the gap, move the bottom edge of the spear onto his foot where his sword used to be, and glue it on to cover it up!

The only other mod that I did was to chop all of the extra goodies on Thorgrim's helmet off, just to make him look less like Thorgrim.

For painting, it's pretty simple. Take the sticker off of his shield, and then paint him gold! Add some silver for him belt (I also made the middle of his shield silver), I added some purple for the gems on his helmet and armor, and red for his sleeves. Finish up with a gold eyepatch on his left eye and white hair and beard, and you're done!

OPTIONAL:
If you want to give him a cape, take an extra Finn the Viking Champion figure, chop off his cape, paint it red (The same shade as his sleeves), and glue it on! Be aware that you'll have to do some creative carving on the cape to make it fit just right, but it shouldn't be too hard.
