Re: The Book of Gambit (AoA) (Breathing)
NAME = GAMBIT
SECRET IDENTITY = REMY LEBEAU SPECIES = MUTANT UNIQUENESS = UNIQUE HERO CLASS = REBEL PERSONALITY = CHARMING SIZE/HEIGHT = MEDIUM 5 LIFE = 4 MOVE = 5 RANGE = 1 ATTACK = 4 DEFENSE = 5 POINTS = 170 KINETIC CARD CONVERSION Before attacking with Gambit, you may subtract up to 3 attack dice from your roll. For each die subtracted, you may add 1 to Gambit's Range number and attack one additional time. If Gambit destroys an opponent’s figure with his normal attack or Sleight of Hand special power, before removing that figure from the battlefield, you may roll 1 unblockable attack die against each figure adjacent to it, one at a time. SLEIGHT OF HAND After a figure rolls defense dice against Gambit's normal attack, if Gambit has more blanks than the defending figure, the defending figure immediately receives one wound. STREET RAT If Gambit inflicts a wound on an enemy figure with his Sleight of Hand special power, you may immediately choose a figure you control engaged with that enemy figure. Move the chosen figure up to 3 spaces, ignoring any leaving engagement attacks from that enemy figure. If that enemy figure was adjacent to Gambit when it was wounded and there is not a glyph on this card, you may place an Equipment Glyph from that figure’s Army Card onto this card. Re: The Book of Gambit (AoA) (Breathing)
Not really sure how to approach the Street Rat power, as I'm not sure how many glyphs can actually be stolen thus the actual usefulness of it. Also considered allowing it to steal Order Markers? Not sure. Something thief-like just seemed fun.

Re: The Book of Gambit (AoA) (Breathing)
I think the glyph stealing idea is cool.
Would I want it to be everything I love...sure...but that's just not realistic so I'm going to focus on finding things that will make me unhappy and work on fixing those. |

Re: The Book of Gambit (AoA) (Breathing)
Would need to clarify that you get to take the glyph before it goes flying from the W inflicted. Might make it easier to just use the blank idea to steal a glyph no matter what the result of the attack is and drop the auto-wound part. So attack Red Skull with an adj. attack, if you roll a blank you end up with the Cosmic Cube.

Re: The Book of Gambit (AoA) (Breathing)
Sleight of Hand is a re-use from Zatanna II. I also like the interplay it has with lowering your attack for more attacks, to try and rely on blanks for the auto-wound each attack. Gives the player a bit of versatility.

Re: The Book of Gambit (AoA) (Breathing)
Just copy the wording from OL Lex a little, he has a similar effect.
This is a cool one! I really like the interaction between Kinetic Conversion and Sleight of Hand |

I like that glyph stealing effect.
C3G can be played with official Heroscape, but it's not recommended.

Looks good. I like the light glyph steal. It's not something that comes up often but is fun and thematic when it does occur.

Re: The Book of Gambit (AoA) (Breathing)
It this another one of those "this is AoA Gambit but not really" type designs? I don't think there's a figure for AoA Gambit, who has a fairly unique look, and is a leader of a mutant thieves' guild rather than a usual X-Man.
Not really super hot on the dual-classing thing here, I'd pick a lane. In general, I like the draft, and I do like the glyph stuff, even if it's a light touch. I'd go with a more specific name than Kinetic Conversion to sell the "deck of cards" flair, and he should be affected by his own explosions. JOHNNY139'S CLASSIC CUSTOM THREAD! | Visit now!
