Re: The Book of Marro Drudge
Now that seems like a sick(assuming you followed my idea) army! Your foe is perfectly distracted and the Drudge still recieve the spotlight as a sneaky striking squad.
My customs. NE Ohio Tourney - TBA SW Ohio Tourney - NHSD 550 points AotV - Colliding the minis of AotP with the world of HS. |

Re: The Book of Marro Drudge
Since Auggies had these guys cheap, picked up 3 more squads plus 3 more squad of Grubs. Played a recent game with this army.
Kee-Mo-Shi-130 x3 Drudge-280 x3 Nagrubs-370 Tor-Kul-Na-590 Didn't bother with Isamu for Toxic Skin's sake. Anyways, the Drudge went out right away as a brief strike to slow and injure my opponents oncoming pack of dragons. They took swamp and carefully placed themselves to get bush cover and to not be prone to AoE attacks. In the end, only 1 survived, but they stalled enough that Torky and the Grubs could get to a well defendable postion they could not be pushed out of. These guys are really cool if you are looking for a theme army. Tourney Record:17-10 (08/02/11) |

Re: The Book of Marro Drudge
The biggest drawback with these guys is generally in map construction. Swamp water usually gets placed low, so they have to give up height to get their bonus.
Maybe try using them like the stingers and ignoring their bonus, like you skip rolling for drain. |

Re: The Book of Marro Drudge
Poor little Drudge-I was comparing them with the Water Elemental when I noticed that the Drudge's Swamp Water Tunnel provokes Leaving Engagement Strikes, while the Water Elemental's Water Tunnel is not subject to them.

Re: The Book of Marro Drudge
One of the most underrated units in the game IMO. I've been testing this army out fairly recently, and it's done quite well:
Drudge x8 400 Raelin 480 At 600, Add Kaemon for Reaver control. Or you can run some Wyrmlings for a similar purpose. With Raelin along, the only splash attack they really need to worry about is Zelrig. I expect that this army would do really well on a team with an army designed to take out the big hero threats. It actually does fairly well against Braxas, as her defense is low enough that continued attacks of 2/3 will wear her down eventually. They're not perfect by any means, but they are hilariously fun to play. ~Gorthan, always looking for new ways to cream people with Marro Drudge...... Your curiosity will be the death of you....

Re: The Book of Marro Drudge
Still one of the best looking units in the game even if most consider them a weaker version of the Stingers.
I play these guys consistently with all sorts of custom booster units (which still hasn't helped my win / loss ratio - but HC they're fun). Recently I tried Re-Tak-Shi from C3V and ... I still lost but again...it's all still 'scapey goodness. Just when you thought it was all right, someone made it alright. Good trades with - Porkins / xraine69 / mac122 (x2) / frylock / Ztimster (x2) and probably others I forgotten to mention...sorry. Last edited by AMIS; May 23rd, 2021 at 08:29 AM. Reason: Drudge FTW! By the way - HC = Who cares - yeah I know... |

Re: The Book of Marro Drudge
I think these guys have a KILLER sculpt. And if by some miracle you manage to get them on a swamp waterfall they'll annihilate any unit in their path. Man I wish they had either plus 1 defense or attack, and their price was bumped to 60-65. Ah well, still fun to use at least!
