I can roll with that. At that stage, though, I'd still like to see a more dangerous 'Alien 1' style Alien that is justifiably dangerous when relying on stealth and guile. Maybe give it an aesthetic inspired by some of the Slashers?
That way, a lone Alien suddenly becomes a threat again, which they should be - a lone, stalking alien is as iconic as a swarm of them.
I guess, to me, the Alien Drone we currently have is very representative of their role in Aliens, where they rely much more on swarming to be dangerous. The "individual alien" design seems like a different concept to me. (And I think it would actually be fun to tinker with a 'Big Chap' Unique Hero design from the first movie, I'm just not entirely sure what that looks like.)

I do think the attack boost is fine to move forward with. Though it is something we will need to watch as we design other Xenos.
What do we think of Matriarch as a class here? Alien Queen pairing with a dino mama makes way more sense than her fitting in with traditional regal queens.

Preamble: An invasion of Hell’s Kitchen! Enemies set their differences aside to fight off an extraterrestrial menace.
Round 1: Kingpin makes DD a Criminal. Alien initiative. OM1 Queen moves Xeno1 and Xeno2 to the roadside of the burning ship. OM1 Elektra moves. OM2 Xeno1 moves and rolls FIVE skulls on Elektra in the opening attack. She takes 3 wounds and X3 moves. OM2 Bullseye moves and deals 1 wound to X1 who misses a roll for Bleed on Elektra. OM3 X1 moves and kills Elektra. X3 takes sidewalk space by ship and uses Tail Strike on Bullseye, it rolls six dice and SIX skulls (ML and high ground), Bullseye rolls an extra defense die from palm tree, but he still takes 4 wounds. OM3 Elektra gone.
Round 2: HKI. OM1 DD moves and is blocked by X1. OM1 X1 deals 3 wounds to DD after he fails to dodge. X3 misses Bullseye. OM2 DD takes high ground and misses X1 again. OM2 X1 moves to high ground and attacks, but DD nat20s and dodges, landing on the roadwalk. X3 moves to high ground and misses Bullseye. OM3 DD moves halfway up the ladder and misses X1. OM3 X1 misses DD, X3 attacks Bullseye and misses.
Round 3: AI. OM1 X1 moves in toward Kingpin and attacks Rhino, but is blocked. X3 moves next to Bullseye and gets him this time. OM1 DD moves and misses X3. OM2 X1 runs toward Kingpin and kills a Bodyguard. X3 is blocked by DD. OM2 Rhino Charges and squishes X1 who puts 1 Acid wound on Kingpin. OM3 X2 moves and X3 tries to hit DD, but he dodges and lands near X2. OM3 Rhino Charges and squishes X3 and evades acid.
Round 4: HKI. OM1 Rhino charges X2 and hurts himself 1 wound. OM1 X4 moves, X2 attacks Rhino but is brushed off. OM2 Rhino moves around and is blocked. OM2 X2 runs toward Kingpin, X4 moves and moves and misses Rhino. OM3 Rhino breaks engagement (safe) with X4 to Charge X2 and squishes, Rhino is safe from Acid. OM3 Queen lurches forward.
Round 5: Alien Initiative. OM1 X5 moves, X4 moves and attacks DD, this one kills him. OM1 gone. OM2 X5 moves. X4 moves and attacks Rhino. Four skulls are rolled, but with Tough and Kingpin helping Rhino is safe. OM2 Rhino moves around to high ground and hits bug4 for 1 wound and takes 1 acid. OM3 X4 misses Rhino and X5 misses a Tail Strike on Rhino. OM3 Rhino moves back off the lava field and finishes bug4, taking no acid.
Round 6: AI. OM1 Queen moves. OM1 Rhino moves and Charges the Queen. He deals 2 wounds and takes no acid. OM2 Queen moves to high ground and puts 3 wounds on Rhino. OM2 Rhino moves up and rolls no skulls. OM3 Queen is blocked. OM3 Rhino breaks engagement for one more charge, but dies in the process.
Round 7: AI. OM1 Queen moves and rolls five skulls on a bodyguard who rolls no shields. OM1 Kingpin canes her for 1 wound (safe). OM2 In return she Pierces his tubby, yet muscular body for 3 wounds, plus another 1 wound. His entrails fall between his hands and he succumbs to a final skull shattering crunch.
Notes: This was at least partly my fault, I chose the armies before I chose the map (shame on me) and while Bullseye and Elektra could normally get some good range hits in on an incoming army, there were just too many overhangs and things for their range to be effective (I didn’t quite realize how fully the aliens could utilize this and move quickly until I already got going). I should have either held the Assassins for last or went straight for the Queen, but they got swarmed pretty quick. The Aliens also rolled incredibly well in the opening game. Rhino proved an excellent bug stomper, but once the Xenomorphs’ numbers fell, the Queen cleaned house.
Special power usages:
XENOMORPH MIND LINK: Whole game until there was just one drone left then the Queen took the OMs, extra attack helped a ton.
PIERCING TAIL STRIKE SPECIAL ATTACK: Kingpin (4/5). Very nice, denied Kingpin at least one more turn.
ACIDIC BLOOD: 1 miss, 1 miss

Round 1: Kraven chooses the Alien Queen as his Prey. Parasite initiative. OM1 Symbiote bonds with Reptile and retains control. OM1 Yautja1 moves. OM2 Veptile moves and boots off the Symbiote with a three. OM2 Yautja2 moves and deals 3 wounds to the Symbiote. OM3 Symbiote moves, bonds with Y1, and retains control. OM3 Kraven moves and uses the Bolas on Reptile. He misses an attack.
Round 2: Hunter Initiative. OM1 Y2 doesn’t move and hits Reptile for 2 wounds, removing the Bolas. OM1 Vedator1 leaves engagement with Kraven (no roll) and moves toward Spawn and engages. Spawn is dealt 3 wounds. Symbiote retains control. OM2 Kraven moves and fails a Bolas on X1. He then deals it 1 wound. OM2 Vedator1 deals 1 more wound to Spawn and then bumps off the Symbiote. OM3 Spawn takes 1 LEA wound for high ground and rolls seven dice. The Symbiote is destroyed. OM3 gone.
Round 3: Hunter initiative. OM1 Kraven takes high ground, fails Bolas, but kills X1. OM1 (Kraven moves three) Queen, furious at losing initiative, sends X2 to engage Kraven and X2 deals him 3 wounds. OM2 Kraven Bolases X2, takes an LEA and attacks, he fails his first roll and is blocked on the second. OM2 Queen takes high ground, but uses Piercing Tail hoping to get that second wound to finish Kraven, it misses. OM3 Kraven moves around and attacks X2, still in the Bolas, hoping to finish it off since the Queen was pretty durable, but X2 rolls all shields. OM3 Reptile moves next to a palm and tries Acid + unblockable. Kraven blocks.
Round 4: HI. OM1 Kraven moves to level ground and hits the Queen for 2 (safe from acid, XOM removed at random), then for 1 wound (safe, OM1 removed). OM1 gone. OM2 Spawn moves and heals 4. OM2 Queen finally guts Kraven with Piercing Tail, dealing 1, then 1. OM3 Y2 moves and misses the Queen. OM3 Queen moves and Pierces Y2 for 3, then 1.
Round 5: Parasites initiative. OM1 Queen normal attack is blocked by Y2. OM1 Y2 is blocked by Queen. OM2 Queen puts that last 1 wound on Y2 with normal attack. OM2 Spawn flies up onto the ship and uses HMGSA and is blocked (1 wound NLF). OM3 Queen moves towards Y1. OM3 Spawn tries the gun again and is blocked again (1 wound). Spawn is safe from lava field.
Round 6: HI. Predator X reveal. OM1 Y1 holds steady and attacks Queen and deals 4 wounds with the plasma caster. OM1 Queen moves, takes high ground, and deals 4 wounds with normal attack. OM2 Y1 deals 2 more wounds (acid safe). OM2 Queen misses with seven dice. OM3 Predator1 Self-Destructs and kills both of them. OM3 gone. Spawn takes 1 lava field damage.
Round 7: HI. OM1 Spawn heals 2. OM1 Reptile moves. OM2 Spawn flies down for high ground, fails a Chain Grab, and is blocked by Reptile (1 wound). OM2 Reptile moves around and tries Acid + more attacks. He misses. OM3 Spawn flies up (safe) and Guns Reptile, missing (1 wound). OM3 Reptile moves up the ladder onto the lava field and hits Spawn with a Combo, 1 wound, 1 wound, no wound. Spawn lava safe, Reptile takes 1 wound.
Round 8: HI. OM1 Spawn fails Chain Grab, but then kills Reptile. OM1 gone. OM2 Spawn flies down and heals 3. OM2 gone. OM3 Spawn Guns X1 for 1 wound, removing the Bolas, then misses. OM3 X1 moves and misses Spawn.
Round 9: HI. Spawn kills X1 with Chain and takes 1 acid wound.
Notes: Super fun game, it was close for a minute too. I thought I’d run a minimal swarm (just two, probably should’ve done three in hindsight) and see how effective it was. Queen didn’t get to use much Mind Link, but did more than her points worth of damage in person.
Special power usages:
XENOMORPH MIND LINK: With bad initiative, the Queen didn’t get a chance to use both drones. Used one time, Drone dealt 3 wounds to Kraven, then the drone got trapped by Bolas.
PIERCING TAIL STRIKE SPECIAL ATTACK: 1 miss. Kraven (2/6), Predator2 (4/5)

THOUGHTS ON THE TESTED UNIT'S COST, BALANCE, & DRAFTABILITY: I think the cost is fair, there is nice balance. If anything she performs better than her worth, but instead of lowering cost, I would just drop life to 9 if it comes to that. Really amps up the Xeno-faction. It's worth noting, the map was Drone friendly.
GENERAL THOUGHTS ON THE TESTED UNIT: Ideally you’d wanna try to take out the Queen right away, but at 10 Life, you would be swarmed and killed long before that works out. What you are left with is taking out Xeno by Xeno, who feel much deadlier with the extra attack die. The best offense against them I’d recommend is defense heavy, melee stompers like Rhino, as the Xeno defense is high enough where multi-attackers can still fall short. Autowounders might fall from the acid and wouldn’t do much on the Queen. It really gets the feel of the Aliens film and comics across. The second game was one of the most fun I’ve played in awhile, so this design definitely succeeds in that department!

Well with the Disney/Fox merger, Disney technically owns Aliens. So I guess that opens up the door for a Xenomorph Princess.

It's the hot new animated feature of the season! A young Xenomorph princess feels there must be more to life than consuming biomass and hatching parasites, and dreams of a life out there, beyond the stars...
But in order to for her hopes to come to pass, she must team up with a brave, if goofy, yautja hunter.
Wacky adventures ensue, but what will it take for them to realise - in space, no one can hear your dreams?
