Sparkly water was one of the few things I missed out on during original Scape, I may need to do x5 just for more of those

Wow, very close terrain type counts. AOA a bit smaller than ROTV, but includes the walls and trees/bushes!

Man ... I can't help but wishing they would've turned two of those grass 24-hexers into sand. Imagine the map diversity that would create all by itself?

The walls will at least add a lot of that.

Hopefully with the comments that were made about being able to put out as much terrain as the community wants in whatever theme once the the tooling is done, we will see 24 hex sand and maybe some more desert themed terrain, since that's the biome that feels the most strongly missing from the current 'Scape options.

Yeah I am surprised they didn't do any 24-hex sand tiles. I was hoping they would do something like 4, 2, 2 instead of 6, 2.

I'm pretty pumped about the walls though. They look much nicer than the FotA and they will end up leading to different map designs because of their different geometry.

Sand 24-hexes, sandstone pillars/monoliths in the same style as dungeon rocks and icebergs, quicksand tiles instead of water. A lot of opportunity for Mad Max desert Heroscape!

Yes, I know quicksand doesn't exist in many deserts in real life.

Thanks to Steve Baker, Hasbro is sitting on a terrain-tile goldmine. Maybe they still understand its potential but forgot how to market it, like they did back in the day. Notice how the stackable terrain is shown first.

At least that first teaser video we got showed figure silhouettes sitting on top of terrain stacks.

Seriously, one of the best marketing decisions was to showcase what the terrain could do with that battlefield ("Migol's Tomb", I think it was called). On the box, in the video, "this is what you can do with our terrain".

Come on, Hasbro, show off!!! I want to see the Combine hiding under a height 4 overhang where the Hellforge can't get to them!! 😊

This is what I was thinking, since these new walls take up fewer movable spaces than FOTA, it will be easier to fit a larger quantity of them on a battlefield without making it too cluttered
