Captain Atom and Graviton make for an incredible combo. As TB stated, Captain Atom increases Graviton's already considerable value. You do have to be strategic about where your glyphs are being placed to set up Graviton in the best position but then it gets nasty. That said they still lost though Mr. Mxy was completely worthless, getting one shot and never getting an AT roll. Even Judge Dredd could have helped out more and most likely wins this for team Atomic.

So this did not go so well for team Atomic. The original plan was to not attack Hawkgirl to avoid juicing up Hawkman but the thought of an unwounded Hawkgirl bashing through the Iron Men was unsavory. Captain Atom blasted her good and I think I made a tactical error in not finishing her off.
Instead Captain Atom followed orders and charged the enemy SZ, damaging Hawkman and also taking damage to release his glyphs. Unfortunately the Hawks were too agile and were able to get out of the radiation zone while the Iron Men got Maced into oblivion.
If I would have played this a little smarter it would have been way closer but I am not certain team Atomic could have won.

Atom & Ragdoll: both full, 4 of 8 Hawkmen.

THOUGHTS ON THE TESTED UNIT'S COST, BALANCE, & DRAFTABILITY: Captain Atom offers some fun strategy on both sides of the board. As A_S stated he has a glass jaw for a unit with his cost but that is all part of the strategy involved. He has potential but without the right back-up he will struggle to get his value. However, the new JL synergy could change that and Cap Atom will be one of the last Champions that does not have to pay an MMII tax. For that reason alone I am OK with leaving him at 350.

GENERAL THOUGHTS ON THE TESTED UNIT: Not much to say that has not been covered by other testers. I would consider making Constructs immune to the glyphs. The board control element of the glyphs is very interesting and it will be cool to see how he fares in competetive play especially in higher point games(where MMII will come into play). He may be a decent match with Magma and other lava producing designs that can create a hot zone. Tossing a figure onto a lava field/quantum glyph for a double dip could be a nice tactic.
