yea, I lean in favor of Toxic Resist. With all his molecular manipulation tricks (moving through solid object, shrinking/growing in size, etc.), avoiding some of the damaging effects of radiation and other toxic substances seems plausible. Can live with it either way though.

Units: Martian Manhunter (370), Wasp, Flash, Wonder Woman (1000) vs Hawkeye, Black Canary, Hawkwoman, Green Lantern (1000)
Unit Summary: I wasn’t sure how effective this team would be, but between Manhutner and Flash, they were able to develop really fast and maximize Wonder Woman’s boosts. Then Manhunter rolled really hot at skulls and by the time his dice luck changed, he had no issues using markers to reverse his fortunes.

Hawkeye recruits Black Canary to the Avengers. Wonder Woman uses a Justice Marker. Initiative Justice League West. Canary jets forward with Green Lantern’s help and then has Hawkeye move up 3 spaces. Flash zips up and then pushes Wasp forward. Martian Manhunter advances. He blasts Black Canary with 4 skulls, but she blocks. He rolls 4 shields for his League Link and moves up all three allies. Canary takes height, Hawkeye moves up, Manhunter misses his Phasing roll and Hawkeye shoots him with an auto skull and Heat damage, but Manhunter blocks. Flash pushes Black Canary to height disadvantage and Martian Manhunter one-shots her. She misses her cry. Manhunter gets 2 shields and moves up Wonder Woman and moves Wasp next to Hawkeye. Hawkwoman flies up and KO’s Wasp. She doesn’t have a good use for her rally. Flash pushes Hawkeye into water and takes height. Manhunter smacks down on Hawkeye for 7 skulls and one-shots him. He rolls 3 shields but only really wants to move Wonder Woman, who he sets up to try to lasso Hawkwoman if she tries to use her Aerial Assault.
Wonder Woman uses another marker. Initiative Justice West. Flash zips next to Hawkwoman and pushes her down a level. Martian Manhunter blasts Hawkwoman for a wound from height. Everything is positioned as he likes, so he doesn’t roll for League Link. Hawkwoman tries to move and Wonder Woman lassoes her into a bad spot. Hawkwoman attacks up at Wonder Woman but can’t hit. Flash moves next to Hawkwoman, then Manhunter blasts Hawkwoman from height and finishes her. He rolls enough shields to easily reposition his allies. Hawkwoman had OM2. Flash moves next to Wonder Woman and pushes her forward. Martian Manhunter advances and attacks Green Lantern from height. He hits for 3 quick wounds. He moves his allies up next to him with Wonder Woman in lasso range. Green Lantern gets lassoed next to Wonder Woman. He gets around this and the phasing by using his Air Raid special attack and affecting all three enemies. He only gets 4 skulls total (3 of them auto) but puts 3 wounds on Flash and 1 wound on Martian Manhunter, who swaps 3 skulls and 2 shields.
Wonder Woman uses her last Justice Marker. Flash uses a marker to help them win initiative. Manhunter trades 5 shields and 1 skull with a marker burn. Green Lantern can’t block or hit Indomitable.

Unit Summary: Martian Manhunter rolled pretty hot on attacks again and with his early ally movement and then Aquaman’s figure movement, his team was really able to control positioning the whole game. He was hot enough on Phase rolls early to make other targets higher priority and the other team just didn’t have enough offensive output to match what the Justice League was doing.

Cap makes Enchantress an Avenger and she makes Thor her Bodyguard. Initiative Asgardian Avengers. Cap advances. Manhunter advances and has both his allies do so as well. Enchantress has Thor advance. He targets Manhunter, but Manhunter phases away, so he throws a hammer at Aquaman, who blocks. Enchantress advances and targets Manhunter. He fails his phase, probably still distracted by Thor, and whiffs his defense, but his marker burn turns 6 skulls into 6 blocks. Manhunter blasts Enchantress, who lets Thor take the one wound for her. He has Aquaman move up, turning the lava field he’s standing on into water. Enchantress sees an opportunity and enchants Thor to attack Hawkwoman from height. He gets 7 skulls and puts 4 quick wounds on her. Enchantress blasts Hawkwoman from height. It’s blocked with an excess of one block and Hawkwoman tries to use Aerial Assault but a swipe from Thor finishes her. Aquaman sheds the X and pulls the Asgardians next to him, dumping Thor on molten lava that Aquaman turned into water. Aquaman can’t hit either enemy from height.
Initiative Justice League. Martian Manhunter smacks Thor from height for 3 wounds. Cap advances and can’t hit Aquaman with his shield and can’t even see Manhunter due to phasing. Manhunter hits Thor for one wound. Thor takes a swipe to reposition, then calls down the thunder. He misses both rolls. Aquaman pulls Thor and Cap next to him and puts one wound on Enchantress and KO’s Thor. Enchantress can’t hit her Charm roll and instead avoids a swipe and smacks Martian Manhunter for a wound from height.
Initiative Asgardian Avengers. Cap punches up at Aquaman for two wounds. Martian Manhunter flies to height and hits Cap for one wound. Enchantress can’t charm Aquaman or hit him. Manhunter uses a marker to switch 4 shields and 2 skulls and hits Cap for a wound from height. Enchantress can’t charm or hit Aquaman. Aquaman rip tide rushes both enemies to height disadvantage and releases the Kraken, but can’t hit either roll. He does roll a 6 skull attack from height that takes out Cap, though.
Initiative Enchantress. She can’t charm Aquaman but does blast him for one wound. Manhunter hits Enchantress for a wound. Enchantress charms Aquaman. Since he has no revealed OMs, she has him dive into molten lava, but his Super Strength ignores the 1 wound he rolled on 4 unblockables. She does hit him for a wound from height with her attack. Aquaman flies back up and punches Enchantress for a third wound. Enchantress can’t charm Aquaman, but hits him for a fourth wound. Manhunter hits Enchantress for a fourth wound.
Initiative Enchantress. She can’t charm Aquaman, but does KO him. Manhunter finishes Enchantress.

Unit Summary: Martian Manhunter rolled terribly for phasing and for his League Link, which left him overexposed and reliant on his Shifting Shapes to hold up defensively. Green Arrow and Wasp didn’t provide the hoped for help. Human Torch was a scary counter, but Manhunter got some luck in that match up. Unfortunately for him, his luck turned other ways. He took out Invisible Woman before falling to give his team a chance, but it wasn’t enough.

Initiative Justice League. Manhunter advances to height in the middle and has Wasp move up. Fan Four lead well and they all move up. Human Torch gets past phasing and rolls 4 skulls. Manhunter gets 1 shield and 4 skulls but uses a marker to shift shapes and block. Mister Fantastic advances. Manhunter advances and punches Invisible Woman for 3 wounds. Manhunter has Aquaman move up. Human Torch avoids a swipe and Flames On Manhunter for 2 wounds, which become 3 thanks to Heat Weakness. He gets past phasing but can’t hit Manhunter from height and range. Mister Fantastic grabs height on Manhunter, gets past phasing, and Manhunter uses another marker to trade 3 skulls and 2 shields to block. Aquaman Rip Tide Rushes Human Torch away and punches him for a wound. A good move to protect Manhunter from dying to the flames. Human Torch takes a swipe and then flames on Wasp (defeated) and Aquaman for two wounds each. He gets past phasing but can’t hit Manhunter from height. Mister Fantastic gets past phasing, but can’t hit Manhunter.
Initiative Justice League. Manhunter becomes tiny to get around Mister Fantastic and rolls poorly against Invisible Woman. He uses his last marker to swap 2 shields and 1 skull and hits Invisible Woman for 1 wound. He fails to move up any allies. Mister Fantastic rolls terribly, goes solo, and Manhunter finally gets a phasing roll. Manhunter finishes off Invisible Woman and denies Thing a big Clobberin Time. He has Green Arrow advance. Arrow sheds a Justice Marker and attacks Mister Fantastic from height but fails to hit or go again. Mister Fantastic leads well. Human Torch takes a swipe and rolls a 1 for Flame On 4 against Manhunter. He attacks Aquaman from height and Aquaman whiffs and takes 3 wounds. Thing gets past phasing and punches out Manhunter with a 6 skull attack. Mister Fantastic wraps up Green Arrow, but can’t hit him. Aquaman flies next to Human Torch and Mister Fantastic and unleashes the Kraken, hitting twice to defeat Human Torch and put two wounds on Mister Fantastic. He punches Mister Fantastic for a third. Green Arrow sheds a Justice Marker and fails to hit Mister Fantastic. Thing punches Aquaman out and Mister Fantastic fails to hit Green Arrow.
Initiative Fantastic Four. Thing engages Green Arrow, rolls 7 skulls on 9 dice, and finishes it.

Unit Summary: Tough match up for Godzilla as uneven ground made it hard for him to get around, being mostly melee made it tough to produce offense as Martian Manhunter kept his team moving and Fate helped him stay phase ready, and Manhunter’s ability to go huge when advantageous and not huge when advantageous messed with Godzilla specifically.

Fate starts with a 13. Initiative Godzilla. Godzilla takes to the road. Manhunter moves up and has Hawkgirl move behind him. Godzilla advances, breath half charged. Manhunter attacks from height, rolls 6 skulls, and gets in 5 quick wounds. He hits 4 shields on his League Link and moves Fate and Hawkgirl. Hawkgirl isn’t quite close enough to pass over Godzilla. Godzilla fails an unblockable on Fate but punches him for a wound. Manhunter smacks Godzilla from height for another wound. He moves Hawkgirl closer and Doctor Fate away.
Initiative Justice League. Fate swaps out an 18 for his 13. Manhunter smacks Godzilla for two more wounds from height. Manhunter moves Fate back and moves Hawkgirl over Godzilla. She misses her d20 roll, but Fate swaps in an 18 for her 2 to make it successful and inflict a 9th wound on Godzilla. Godzilla stomps through Manhunter (1 wound) and Hawkgirl (miss) then unleashes his Atomic Breath for 6 hits. Hawkgirl is adjacent and gets melted and defeated. Doctor Fate takes one wound. Manhunter hits Godzilla for two wounds and then has Fate move away. Godzilla stomps through Manhunter for a wound and then smacks him for a third wound when Phasing fails. Manhunter smacks Godzilla for 3 more wounds from height, then has Fate move. Godzilla hits Manhunter with an unblockable for a 4th wound, but then Manhunter Phases away from an attack. (Forgot to note, but Manhunter was able to go Huge for each time Godzilla went through him and landed 3 wounds from swipes this way).
Initiative Justice League and Fate steals a 14 from Godzilla’s roll. Manhunter finishes off Godzilla.

UNIT SUMMARY: He’s fun and effective. Given how easy it is for him to get height and attack from there and how often he can phase out of attacks completely, and then how he can swap dice on botched rolls, I think we might consider lowering either his attack or his defense before further playtesting.
