Krug (Troll)

I just used this Troll for the first time and didnt realize
how really awesome this figure is, i first noticed his
8 Life which is definetly nice to have but i saw the lame
2 ATTACK and 3 DEFENSE i was like wtf?

reading the special abilities....when he attacks, he recieves
one extra attack die for each wound marker LMAO!

then to boot he may attack one addtional time? dang!

we tried a few combos where Krug kills em off like Raid in a can!


Am i getting this right, cuz if so....I love Krug!

Yup - that's Krug. Starts out puny, gets nastier and nastier as he takes damage, then "poof!", he's gone.

The key to using him is to make sure that he's in amongst the action when he starts to take damage; the key to defeating him is to keep him away from your troops, then overload him with wounds quickly before he turns all nasty.

Also note that he is a Beast, so he bonds with arrow gruts. So you can move and attack with him basically for FREE anytime you activate your arrow gruts.

Yea, what Hedge Knight said. Along with being a complete bad@ss, he's also one of the coolest looking models in the game.

Krug is awesome unless you attack him with two or more squads of warriors of ashra. Then he sucks. Finish with range.

I've got a arrow grunt / krug / mimring army I've been meaning to play with for a bit now. I actually haven't used krug too often, as he tends to go down rather quickly once he gets that first wound. Sometimes my opponent will disengage on purpose with Krug so that they can get some extra wounds before attacking. I don't know if I agree with that strategy, but for that turn it works out.

Actually, the last time I played him, he got skewered by AE and KMA from hieght before he ever got off a single attack. Now that sucked.
Valuable lesson, that: If facing 210pts worth of shooters on steep highground, find some one other than Krug to take them out. "Krug big. But Krug stupid."

Hi, Torredo. I've noticed a couple of your recent posts. There comes a time when you've been playing for a little while, when it is really, really useful to go back and re-read all the rules and all the cards you own. You will discover interesting wonders doing so.
