Both true. Scapemage hit High School and found that as class work got harder his time was limited and more precious. He flat out disappeared for awhile, but is around frequently now, just doesn't have the time to come back full time. Bats is moving to Alabama, bought a house, and considering starting his own little flock of bats. Ironically, his retirement comes almost exactly 5 and 1/2 years since his original post that got C3G rolling. So yes, the times they are a changing.

Only if we let it end. Yes, C3G has lost one of its most valued members. Yes, we've also lost a good number of them in the past year or two and I'm sure we'll lose a few more before everything is said and done. But, we still have a great amazing group of Heroes, Sidekicks, and Allies left. We have enough designs, ideas, and enthusiasm to keep C3G going strong for years.

But, and this is addressed to all of our public members, we need your help! The most important part of any customs group is its fans and playtesters. I was a little worried about the future but you have had a strong voice lately and that is encouraging.
You are absolutely correct that we need help in the playtesting department. It is the oil that keeps this machine from seizing.

It can be hard to find the time and the ambition to do playtesting, and the longer you're out of it the harder it seems to jump back into it; I kept putting off signing up, but now that I have I'm glad I did. Even just doing a single report has relight my enthusiasm.

Exactly. There have been tons of threads and discussions of designs and ideas but nothing compares to what C3G has accomplished.

For those that have been lingering and biding their time, now is the time to jump in. C3G is at an unprecedented crossroads for itself. The often mentioned distant future is now upon us. Will you sit back and watch others try to fill a rather large void or will you volunteer to help share the mantle of the Bat? It's time for a decision.

Don't misunderstand, C3G has strong leadership in place, but I doubt even Bats realizes how much he did around here.

I've been itching to jump back in here, but I've got kind of a crazy workload going on right now. I'd like to be in a mental state that's not "running around with my hair on fire" before I make any time commitments.

I trust ALL of the Heroes to lead C3G into this new era, just as I always have. (I know Bats does too!)
