Son is 8 years old and in 2nd grade. I'm 28 and graduated at the top of my class(es). We play without ordermarkers and slightly modified abilities for some cards; nothing relevant in this game. Son always goes first to start the game.

Though I've never played one, Elf Wiz armies look like a really cool new idea. I hope they win just for the sake of convincing me to buy the Wave 8 Elves pack!

Interesting predictions so far -- 4 for , 5 for including "hope" votes. I think if there were money on it the Utgar side would be higher.

When Son and I played it there were no glyphs and I think the ruins were a little more out of the way. (They are optionally placed by players around their starting zones.)

I hope you lose, NamibianScaper, I really do. I think both of the armies are pretty weak, but giving an 8 year old the elves? A group that depends on strategic play to be any good?

In terms of solid units, he's got Charos. You have the Stingers, and maybe the Shades could be considered solid. So it is not too unbalanced, if he used the elves properly then he would kick yo' ... . But he won't. MEAN DAD.
