-The goal of this product it to attract Magic players (like they didn't pay enough yet ). I don't think they cares as much as painted figures as we do.

-Plus, the battlefield looks way more than a board game than Heroscape one, non-painted figures aren't such a big deal for this kind of board games.

-They're not grey but painted in the color of their faction.

I just quoted for people who eventually missed it.

Knowing WotC, in my opinion "five painted figures" = "the others figures will not be painted".

In the video @Jim posted, did anyone else notice the "firecats" are almost the same as Deathstalkers? Even the ability seems to be ripped off of Maul.

You guys are crazy. Magic is a fantastic game. This basically combines my two favorite games into one. So excited!
Looking for a way to get casual players involved in Heroscape? Do your opponents lack the interest or knowledge to build/draft their own armies? If so, check out Project 500!

Magic the Blathering. Sadly, I am less enthused after watching the video. Doesn't look like much usable terrain.

I am optimistic. There is a lot of hey, I can grab a few more figures that already have the right bases and a little terrain with it. Plus the potential to convert magic players is awesome.

At the very least this is a little spice to add to the game.

Thanks @superfrog for mentioning this thread. We should apply for an internship at WotC this summer for the very slight chance we can sneak something into this game!

I'm so excited for this as well. I hope the Magic moniker will make it so the game will NOT die after one expansion but then again I thought Heroscape would last longer with D&D.

Any new strategy board game with prepainted minis is awesome though, and we may get new Heroscape terrain!
