I like One Shots having *some* restriction, just to give it clear connective tissue to a figure on the battlefield.
C3G can be played with official Heroscape, but it's not recommended.

Personally I thought Unique Hero did give it a little thematic flourish that it was a quality of like, specific named heroic characters. The open-to-anyone version loses a touch of that. Very minor though.

I think I’m thinking of those particular HS moments where one particuarly chumpy squaddie punches way above their weightclass and you start rooting for them. Codifying that in the game may actually make those moments less memorable though?

I guess mild preference for Unique Hero as well then, I guess?
