NAME OF THE PLAYTEST UNIT: Morg

Units: Morg (400), Ms. Marvel (350), Aang (250) (1000) VS Fan4 (1000)

Spoiler Alert!

Aang rushes out first to try and spread some wounds amongst the Fan4, trying to make it easier for Morg to clean up with Executioner’s Axe. Aang and Ms. Marvel put a lot of wounds down before Aang finally falls. Morg enters the battle and immediately goes after Invisible Woman, bringing her to 1 life but missing his Executioner’s Axe roll. Ms. Marvel falls the next turn, costing Morg’s team OM3.

Morg loses a key initiative, but Reed rolls a 1 on Fantastic Leadership. Morg risks it all, burning 3 OMs on Power Cosmic (Sue ran away so he can’t move, locked down by Reed), but Reed blocks it. The Fan4 take out Morg with ease the next turn.


Who won? List figures remaining in the winning army (include life remaining for heroes): Mister Fantastic (1 wound), Invisible Woman (4 wounds), Thing (5 wounds), Human Torch (2 wounds) win.

Again, Aang and Ms. Marvel lead out initially. Ms. Marvel falls quickly after only inflicting a couple wounds. Aang falls next without barely doing anything. Morg rushes in the next round and kills a 2-wound Android 18 in one shot by burning his “X” OM. Morg burns OM3 to help block a 4-skull attack directed at him, then he deals 2 wounds to Android 16. The Androids bring Morg to 3 wounds at the end of the round, and Morg heals one.

Morg burns the “X” OM to kill 16. Android 17 brings Morg to 4 wounds, and Morg again burns OM3 to help stay alive. Morg puts 2 more wounds on 17 before falling.


Who won? List figures remaining in the winning army (include life remaining for heroes): Android 17 (3 wounds), Krillin (0 wounds), Beam Struggle (unused) win

THOUGHTS ON THE TESTED UNIT'S COST, BALANCE, & DRAFTABILITY: Fun offense-heavy design. He’s crazy fragile for his offense, though Power Cosmic helps. It’s the type of design where getting one extra turn with Morg means you’ll probably kill something else. Two medium-large losses here, so combined with the other wins in public testing, I think you’re good to go here.

Hey thanks for the tests! I'm wondering if 6 life is the better option but keeping his range at 3? At 6 life and 5 range he could stay on the outside, 3 gets him in the mix more.

I don't think 6 life would have changed a thing in my tests, so that'd be fine with me. I do think 5 range would make him play more safe and stay back. I liked how aggressive you had to be with him as-is.
