Re: DC Lantern Corps: public workshop

Plus Ganthet should definitely be unique in his execution. C3G can be played with official Heroscape, but it's not recommended.

Re: DC Lantern Corps: public workshop
Some of them have names, but it's a rarity. The ones with names are more unique (Scar, Ganthet, Sayd, Appa Ali Apsa, Krona) and I feel like they'd need different designs to accurately represent them. In the Johns run they started out with ~10 or so Guardians which is quite a few cards to go with that approach anyway.

Re: DC Lantern Corps: public workshop
I think there are some more generic ones with names - like one is named Guiron (after the Israeli prime minister). But it's definitely a relative rarity. We could maybe get like five or six of them if we did a deep dive into Wikis and aren't too picky about their looks matching 100%.

Re: DC Lantern Corps: public workshop
I assume, like the Stepfords, we'd use the same mini if we went that route. Should we do some quick research and see if we can find like five names other than the five more specific ones Archie mentioned? That'd get us to ten in total between them, which seems right.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Guardi..._known_by_name Quite a few names we can draw on, actually!

Re: DC Lantern Corps: public workshop
Yeah let’s do a Dawlakispokpok card!
I think this approach works well. Do 5 or so generic ones, but leave it open to do the ones that are actual characters later. Some of those wouldn’t even work well with the other Guardians anyways. |

Re: DC Lantern Corps: public workshop
I was initially against that idea, but after thinking about it, it would work well. Guardians have names, they just forgot/discarded them. And in some adaptations they just avoid the no-name business entirely (like Green Lantern the animated series and the Green Lantern movie).
If we are picking names these are the Guardians I'd like to go with: Appa Ali Apsa, Herupa Hando Hu, Broome Bon Barris, Pazu Pinder Pol. They all have similar name schemes and aren't different enough from each other to ever warrant a different design IMO. This way, whenever we create a Scar, Sayd, Ganthet, or Krona design their names stand out. |

Re: DC Lantern Corps: public workshop
Seems good. Is Appa one that we want to reserve for a potential unique card, though? I thought I remembered there being a bit of a blurb under that name in Wikipedia.

Re: DC Lantern Corps: public workshop
He's one that could warrant his own design. But from what I know of him, he acts like any other Guardian. He took a name to appease the Corps and get to know the universe better, but he's still a jerk and acts all high-and-mighty and all that. In the animated series, he clashes the most with Hal Jordan because Appa is a firm stickler for the rules.
According to the GL wiki he went nuts and had to be killed, though. I wasn't aware about that aspect of his character. |

Re: DC Lantern Corps: public workshop
In the Animated Series, Appa tends to be the mouthpiece of the orthodox majority of the Guardians (and, as a result, an absolute arsehole). I'd actually probably be more interested in Appa than a generic Guardian.
