C3G can be played with official Heroscape, but it's not recommended.

Thats what I thought at first, but Firefly also wears red goggles. When he is discussing who he has on his side, he mentions freeze, but not firefly.

On the topic of the snappleapp, does the PDF come up with the backs as well? And if not, is there a file I can get to make them? I don't care if they don't line up exactly, just something to cover up the white and make them look more like the other cards

It does. The app has a button that says something like, "Generate reverse." This makes a back page with three card backs on it.
