I suppose that could work as the basis for some uncommon androids for Tony to control. But then I don't think a random Android like Red Tornado or Vision should be able to command them. I'd let them either bond with themselves so they become a two figure squad when drafting multiples of them, and also let one bond with an Engineer. Then Tony or any other Engineer (Justin Hammer?) can build a control box to order them around with. Maybe Engineer or Scientist even?

Edited with this idea in mind, although the wording could use... a bit of help! Trying to maintain the triple bonding aspect that I was intending with the original design (with this unit being the squishy support unit, not adding too much in terms of firepower).

Really neat stuff! I like the idea of more common/uncommon Androids, which have been a theme as of late. A quick turn with a weak guard-like robot in an Iron Man army would be an interesting aspect to add. I also like that it plays off of all Engineers for the first part, and if it's specifically Mark V Iron Man, gets an additional bonus.

Here’s a quick idea I just had, feel free to reject it.

PERSONALITY = ARROGANT (I know it’s not totally thematic, but hey, maybe an AI programmed by Tony would catch some of his arrogance)

AUTONOMOUS COMBAT CIRCUIT
After taking a turn with a Engineer Hero or Arrogant Android you control within 6 clear sight spaces of this Iron Legion Suit, you may take a turn with this Iron Legion Suit. You may not take an additional turn with any figures you control.

So it may need adjusting for language, but what I’m going for is;
-can take a turn after IM Mk V or any other engineer
-can take a turn after any IM taking a turn with Slave Circuit
-can take a turn after another Iron Legion, basically making them a pseudo-squad of 2 units.

EDIT: You could also remove the android restriction and let them take a turn after any arrogant figure. That way they could team up with any Iron Man without needing Mk V.

AUTONOMOUS COMBAT CIRCUIT
After taking a turn with a unique Engineer hero, or a Unique hero taking an extra turn from the use of the Slave Circuit ability, this figure may take a turn, if it is within 6 clear sight spaces of the unique hero whose turn directly precedes it. (this is extremely clunky wording! The idea is he would need to be within 6 of the slave circuit unit if going after the slave circuit, and within 6 of tony if going after tony).

Cogs in the Machine
androids you control adjacent to an Iron Legion Autonomous Combat Suit add 1 to their attack and 1 to their defense, or 2 to their attack and 2 to their defense if their base is at least 1 tile higher than the attacking or defending figure. Other Iron Legion Autonomous Combat Suit do not benefit from "Cogs in the Machine".

Shoulder-Mounted Machine Gun Special Attack
Range 5. Attack 3.
If Iron Legion Autonomous Combat Suit's Shoulder-Mounted Machine Gun Special Attack inflicts a wound, they may attack again with their Shoulder-Mounted Machine Gun Special Attack. If they can, Iron Legion Autonomous Combat Suit must target a target other than their original target with the second attack.

What do you guys think? I felt that the abilities of the Iron Man suits were very similar, and so they didn't have the versatility to survive a real fight. These units ask a cool question in my opinion - should you attack them to remove the stats bonuses, or should you just kill the unit who is receiving the bonuses? I am not all that familiar with other unique android heroes, but if it is necessary we can also include the arrogant personality as a requirement, ensuring them only to be useful with an Iron Man Army.
Edited to include an idea from Yoda (it makes more sense for them to be commanded by engineers than by androids)

Not 100% sold on the specifics, but as a big Tony Stark fan (he's my favourite superhero! ) and probably one of the few people here who liked Age of Ultron better than Avengers Assemble, I'd love to see this refined and designed!


Just a hint, there may be another version of Stark coming down the Playtesting pipeline soon, so you might want to give him a go before settling 100% on a direction.

Just curious, LO: did you mean Avengers 1 when you said Avengers Assemble? I'm curious because we don't call it that here in the States. Is just Avengers to us. If not, I'm not quite sure what you were comparing Age of Ultron to.

Oh, yeah - didn't realise that (or I think I did, but forgot). It's definitely called Avengers Assemble on the DVD I've got. Pretty handy way of distinguishing it form Age of Ultron and Infinity War, actually.
Now my memory's returning, I think it was a copyright thing, or something? Something to do with an old British spy show I've never seen or had any interest in seeing called The Avengers?
