I think that Garfield was WAY better with Peter Parker, I mean sure, Peter Parker is supposed to be a tad socially awkward, but Tobey Mcguire was just too much. If you read the comics, Parker is much more akin to ASM then the older movies, IMO. Tobey was my least favorite part about all the original spider man movies, and Garfield was the reason I went and saw ASM in the theaters.

Chris Evans is an interesting choice. I wasn't really impressed with those F4 movies over all so perhaps I overlooked his performance. I thought he did a great job as Captain America though and would have put him in my top 10 if the list extended that far.

Didn't grow up on the Superman/Reeves movies so while I knew he would be on the list for many Superman fans he just doesn't make the cut for me personally.

The earlier Ruffalo pick was a good one though. He would also be top 10 material. Really liked the Jack Nicholson Joker performance until I saw the Ledger version, now it seems to pale in comparison. Jack still did a good job but it is hard to put him in the top 10 with all the great performances by others since that movie came out.

Chris Evans was the bright spot of the F4 movie.

Also Ian McKellan definitely belongs on the list. He owned Magneto.
