Re: Suggestions for the C3V
Those don't look super hex compatible .... Source is coming out with some walls that would fit on hexes.
C3G can be played with official Heroscape, but it's not recommended.

Re: Suggestions for the C3V
Wizkids is slowly revealing new miniatures for their upcoming D&D and Pathfinder Pre-painted sets, Vecna: Eve of Ruin and Armies of the Dead, respectively (notably, Armies of the Dead will be the first blind booster set of prepainted Pathfinder minis since 2022). Neither set has been fully previewed yet, but there are a few miniatures that I thought it would be worth highlighting before the sets release. All credit for the images goes to minisgallery.com.
Firstly, while Heroscape has quite a few wizards, there hasn't been a "toybox" style witch yet. Eve of Ruin has a miniature that seems like it could fit the bill; depending on its rarity, there might be enough floating around when the set releases in August to make a figure out of it: On the Pathfinder side of things, Armies of the Dead is slated to have a lot of nice-looking undead figures, but there's one in particular I wanted to highlight: namely, the Onryo miniature. It's apparently going to be a Common rarity figure - so there should be some copies floating around for purchase when Armies of the Dead releases in September - and it poses a good opportunity to touch on a genre of horror Heroscape hasn't really dived into previously. Finally, Armies of the Dead also has the Necrohulk Smasher, which could serve as a nice Frankenstein's Monster pastiche. As a Rare figure, however, I imagine it's likely going to prove too inaccessible for the C3V's purposes. The user formerly known as Bloody the Marro Stinger! |

Re: Suggestions for the C3V
In the same Pathfinder line, there is also an undead gunslinger. Some fun could be had with that.

Re: Suggestions for the C3V
Well met! I'm wondering whether it would be possible or appropriate to use this figure for SoV. A number of concepts I came up with for would be transferable (with a little tweaking). Is it reasonable to trust in the availability of units suggested here. |

Re: Suggestions for the C3V
Thanks to UtahScott for posting external gallery links!
Yeah, Armies of the Dead is shaping up to be a triumphant return for Paizo. I've already mentally marked a few figures as highly 'Scape compatible for my own purposes, and I know that you folks at the C3V team are creative enough to make even more work, so I'd love to see nearly any of them in use. Also, I'd like to highlight the Hellwasp from the Vecna set as a cool Insect Hero to field alongside the Amberhive Protectors. |

Re: Suggestions for the C3V
Thirding the recommendation for the Hellwasp (maybe as an Aquilla Predator? It'd be fun to have another Insect hero to use with the Spiders...)! One thing to note about the prepainted Eve of Ruin Hellwasp is that, according to posts on the minisgallery.com forums, it uses the same tooling as the unpainted Hellwasp from the Nolzur's Marvelous Miniatures line (see the bottom post of this page and the top post of the following one). In theory, this means that C3V could play around with the Nolzur's Hellwasp to see how the upcoming prepainted Hellwasp will look on Heroscape terrain before it officially releases. It could also keep the sculpt available down the line (similarly to how the unpainted version of Gothlok's miniature is easier to find nowadays than the prepainted Orc Rider from Rusty Dragon Inn), although it's not clear to me how often products from the Nolzur's Marvelous Miniatures line restock.

Re: Suggestions for the C3V
Well met! Sometimes they make it so easy . . . Tasha? Pathfinder Eve of Ruin MAIYA, SORCERESS OF MARR General: Utgar Race: Human Uniqueness: Unique Hero Class: Wizard Personality: Ruthless Size: Medium 5 Life: 5 Move: 5 Range: 5 Attack: 3 Defense: 3 Points: 100 PRIMADON LEADERSHIP When revealing an Order Marker on Maiya, instead of taking Maiya's turn,, you may take a turn with one of the following that you control: • 1 Primadon Squad or • 1 Primadon Hero Any figure in the above list that is taking a turn with Primadon Leadership must be within clear sight of Maiya before moving. MARR WOOD SPECIAL ATTACK Range 5, Attack 3 Choose a figure to attack. You may also choose one other figure adjacent to the targeted figure to be affected by Marr Wood Special Attack. Roll attack dice once for both figures. Each figure rolls defense dice separately. or COERCION If any figure you control within 3 spaces of Maiya would inflict enough wounds to destroy an opponent's Unique Hero, first roll the 20-sided die. On a roll of 15-20, that figure takes no damage, and you take control of that figure and that figure's Army Card. You now control that Army Card. Remove any Order Markers on that card. If Maiya is destroyed, you retain control of any previously Coerced Army Cards. Figures having a Fearless Personality are not affected by Coercion. FLYING GORILLINATORS All Gorillinators within 8 clear sight spaces of Maiya have both the Flying and Talon Grab special powers. Feel free to do what you will with this.
